Big volumes today & some big buys if we can believe ADVFN. It's always difficult to tell what the share price is doing intraday because the spread changes so often, but I'd say that generally it's looking very good indeed - I see no reason why the trend of the last couple of months shouldn't continue - lovely chart!

Hoping for 85p-90p myself with the mega-divi on top. The winter's been mild, the markets have been rising - everything's in place for HWY to report continued excellent trading.

You have to laugh at today's chart - is is some sort of MM game?!

Only a month or so till results and that final divi - funds/institutions should be starting to build up positions from now I'd have thought.

gettting exciting now, results are getting near. Trading should get very busy in the run up towards it, so MMs might narrow the spread and drive the share price up to catch the extra demand.

FO... that's interesting. Is the market trying to shake out a load of 'cheap' shares for someone, or was he just concerned for your financial welfare? That is not necessarily a rhetorical question...

er, who on earth is buying in repetative drips!? smells a bit fishy. My broker even called me up today to ask if I was interested in selling.

it appears to be at the bottom of the short term trading channel, so never know, it could bounce up.

Yep, perhaps they had a client who wanted in a bit cheaper - the price certainly rebounded nicely later on. Should just be a blip on the upward path imo.

Stepping back and looking at today's drop and recovery looks rather dubious given the very small volumes. Something must have made all the MMs reduce their bid/offer prices in tandem. You won't be surprised to hear that I distrust MMs.

Good call 'Factsonly' that the stock would recover in the next hour or two.
On your second point ask 'Robbie Burns ie 'Frequent trader.

I'm wondering how many trades don't actually appear on the system, because most of my HWY trades haven't appeared.

might be bit of an overreaction to a delayed sell order (yet to appear?). It's unusual that it drops so much, I reckon it will recover a fair amount over the next few hours.

Bit of profit taking I suspect. Cooling off after yesterday's rise.

bigman - I see insurance as one of the sectors of 2006. I actually got into hwy because it seemed a slightly cheaper way of getting chu stock before the deal collapsed. I topped up on the divi. announcement. I have chu on a forward p/e of 3.
