Yes, that 100k "ordinary trade with delayed publication" certainly caught my eye.

I don't see any special broker mentions with attached target prices, other than the forecast eps of 1p for 2017 and 1.7p for 2018.

A bit of optimism at the AGM regarding the future, wouldn't go amiss and we should be seeing date for the AGM before long?

Meanwhile.....

AGM - I see Morningstar have it marked for the 12-6-2017, but guess that's just an extrapolation from last year's 10-6-2016.

However, you should have a definitive answer around 26th May, when last year HVE RNS'd the posting of their Annual Report & Accounts to shareholders and also advised such was available on their website from that same date, with copies posted to shareholders on the 16th.

If that helps a bit,

Well I have an AGM statement pencilled in for early June if it's anything like recent years - hoping that helps keep this year's momentum going.

Does anyone know when the AGM is scheduled for?

I've had a look at the website but the Financial Calendar section only goes up to 2016 which isn't much use!

Positive mention for HVE in Shares mag today in an article looking at bargain-price recovery stocks. Jeroen Bos of SVS Church House Deep Value holds HVE and has been impressed by management doing exactly what they told him they'd do and by the premium paid for shares by new chairman Ian Godden.

Doesn't seem to have generated any share purchases today though!

I would imagine that many of these redundancies are highly skilled workers. sad

33 cost saving redundancies due to not securing enough new type orders.
Not enough retail jobs making the correct margins.
If the board were serious in cost savings they would get rid of the over paid incompetent higher management that keep changing job titles.
At the rate Havelock keep getting rid of staff they will shortly be operating out of Ritchies garden shed. Never mind the factory.

Did they not move into HAVELOCK HOUSE as it offered cost saving synergies due to it's location.

Yes, I think I made the same point on this board last year, why burn the cash on their ivory tower!! :)

The move to Havelock House was cost neutral according to the statement at the time. They received £750K for the Dalgety Bay site, so that would be the cost of the move.

Can somebody say how much mony was wasted fitting out Havelock House?? This was another costly vanity project by the previous management. The new team seem now to be fully focused on cost at last.

Neverforget they are picking up a lot of the AMS work and from the word on the floor retail is doing very nicely. Also yes they will be moving out of Havelock House. This board seem to have a clear focus on costs.

max of 7.5k @ 13.95p is what I'm currently offered too

so it seems we've hardly had seen a rush of trades following the investor presentations but stock is in short supply. hopefully it's therefore a matter of sitting and waiting patiently for some buy orders to be filled at higher prices

given there were 2 private buyers recently accumulating, if the presentations were well received then institutional demand on top of that could see things get very exciting here

gleach - just for info. I tried Barc's Quote and Deal just now, maybe a bit early. I could get max 7k @ 13.95p, but not more on Q & D. However, i guess a limit order at the same price for 10-15k would go through.

Even so, I was a bit surprised with the low availability on Q &D....my buy the other days was for 15k which went through at the first request.

Incidentally, I really rate Barc's and have been with them abt 15yrs and more.

Am away for much of today, but may inquire again next week. For whatever reason stock must be in short supply at the moment, although L2 shows 4 x 10k lots, each side with best ask 14p and hightest 15p.

I guess us mere mortals will need to wait until the strategy review towards the end of the year to know what the company is planning. lets hope it will be better than the last 6 years worths of strategy coz that's been an abject failure.

ok thanks - I don't use level 2 and I use a cheap online broker (a j bell) so might not always have access to the depth in the order book that other brokers might offer. Nonetheless I frequently use online dummy trades and the process has served me well. I have monitored HVE quite closely in this way over the last 6 months.

I was able to buy 20k shortly after the post above and after which a 40k sell trade went through. However I take apparent shortage of stock available on the Offer as a strong signal, even if it was temporary.

gleach, Level 2 regularly has 4mm's showing 10k shrs on each side of the bid/ask.
Barclays could offer me almost 20k on their "quote and deal" facility, at the first request.... total deal cost £5.95.

It's now a bit too late to get a decent quote - I'll check agian tomorrow as what B's quote best.
