Lol - no I didn’t disappear I merely am focused on my own things and I am making money from backing myself as opposed to always trying to fight with incompetence. Havelock taught a valuable lesson, there are some terrible business people out there.

Personally I am saddened by HVE demise, but only due to the loss of some good employees.

I took, I rubbed, once the brown stuff came off it still turned out the gold sovereigns had been turned to copper ha'pennys by the blunder of HVE.

TT2 is absolutely spot on. Yes it is awful what's happened. Move on its getting boring now. Far worse situations going on in this world other than the calamity at HVE.

Lots of new names here since I last looked on this thread. I hope you got out at the right time. I'm glad I bailed out of this share a long time ago.
I read Styles and Wood were taken over. They went from strength to strength. It's very sad about HVE. I particularly feel sorry for the employees.

Jblocko, hope like many you are not to exposed to the crash, it never seemed an issue to HVE to send someone else off the cliff, so the statement about a surprising 'credit squeeze' surprised me as well. Looks like they've robbed people this morning of the last remedy of slapping a winding up notice on HVE by calling in the administrators.

Guess what goes around comes around, or from the old butch management culture, your on the train or your under the train!

Wonder how much cash was sitting in uncollected retention funds from the main contractors, the credit control folks always seemed to busy with their private lives to chase like the hound dogs they should have been. Pot was over half mill last time i extracted figures. Could have kept them going another day or so!

Unfortunately Brown is the harbinger of doom to many businesses, it's well documented that his arrival often was the start of the six months timer - he apparently shown up on the installation of the laser cutting kit in 2014, so it was a minor supprise #HVE lasted so long! Anyway, time to move on and roll the dice of financial life again!!

Kirkcaldy is already lumbered with one Gordon Brown, but heavens! the man's a socialist, I'm sure he will be along any day now with his cheque book to save the good working men of HVE!

The mind boggles as to how HVE has survived this long. The writing was on the wall a few years ago. It was absolutely apparent when both the CFO and the COO both resigned.

Decision making at Senior Management level over years has no more shambolic.

Wrong appointments, unqualified people in senior positions. Moving people around an organisation into various roles where they have failed previously.

I cannot fathom why there is so much interest in HVE at this point in time, as there is little likely-hood that the share price will move northwards, until such time (if ever) they start to prove they can turn this sinking ship off the rocks.

tomboyb - what mad fool would want to take on the pile of debt and problems HVE have, and pay £1 let alone million or so?
