30/12/2022 13:29 | Just cleaning the decks before the big one GLA | courty2
30/12/2022 13:23 | Anyone wonder why this news is coming out on the 30th December. They must have known for months these contracts were underperforming or in dispute. Isn't the company obliged to mention material deviations from forecasts as soon as they are aware? Have they only just realised 1 day before year-end they won't make targets? Im guessing they wanted to keep this secret from the government. | mortal1ty
30/12/2022 12:57 | Have a good New year all..Let's face it JW has grown revenues from £0, so yes there will be set backs along the way. It's not easy, but Harl will be set to deliver. It's increased loan agreement of £150-£200m arranged. The £77m investment is secured. Banks/lenders don't lend that kind of money unless they know contracts/revenue is certain.... (thinks about it) 2023 will be Harls year. | gusto01
30/12/2022 12:03 | I've not posted on here for a while - to be clear, I don't hold a long or short position & never have. I did do research as I feel the company is interesting - and I have a soft spot for legacy industries...... There is a pattern of announcements of exciting contracts, often followed by a fund raise. And a bit later, the contract is cancelled / turns out not to happen, or not to be quite as described. - FSRU - Triumph - RNLI - it was me who spotted the RNLI rebuttal of the H&W announcement. - Saipem I don't regard this as normal. The Fleet Support contract looks exciting - and here, for once, is a contract which has plenty of external, independent, commentary. But, as commented on above, there are big issues with the M55 contract - it will be interesting to see how these turn out. Out of curiosity, does anyone know for sure whether there has been any work actually started on the Saipem contract? At least one of the cancelled contracts looks v v odd - and the oddities are hiding in v plain sight, for anyone looking.......... And no, I'm not looking to short the stock - I've never shorted anything. | garbetklb

30/12/2022 10:56 | I would like to see the CEO invest some real money today - 1m shares would help me overlook the disappointment. I’m still in profit but today’s update does make me nervous on a competence level. | indalo
30/12/2022 10:52 | And today he saw the company is struggling. Is that the best place for a contract of national importance? Political suicide. | simonsmithiv
30/12/2022 10:47 | Yep, because the Prime Minister the other day had nothing better to do, and was just out for a jolly visiting H&W... "Today I visited the iconic Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, where the next generation of @RoyalNavy support ships are being built - creating thousands of job opportunities" | zb27

30/12/2022 10:19 | My average is just below here. Sad to lose the profit but here’s to a profitable New Year! | volsung
30/12/2022 10:17 | "Remember... there is a reason why this company was bankrupt three years ago. Building ships in the UK isn't profitable! £15m losses in HY on £16m sales. The bigger the contracts, the bigger the losses lol." - mortality Nov-17th-2022 | mortal1ty
30/12/2022 10:11 | Company burnt through £17m cash in H1. That is now looking like another £25m in H2. Business had net-debt of £13m at end of H1. That net-debt is now probably nearer £40m. I mean... this does not look like a viable business. | mortal1ty
30/12/2022 10:00 | My guess is most of these posters will go missing very soon or turn positive LMAO With Rishi Sunak/Ben Wallace both visiting H&W recently, it's just a matter of time. Imminent. A nice transfer of shares taking place this morning for the multibaggers. Thankyou | zb27
30/12/2022 09:59 | Tripe. Not even possible lol | epifanio1
30/12/2022 09:55 | Mm's clearly sold shares they don't actually hold, now collecting! Lol | london07
30/12/2022 09:52 | Your cautionary posts about the BoD have been well founded, hard hats off to you. | the modeller
30/12/2022 09:38 | More debt....? Or more shares...? Lol | epifanio1
30/12/2022 09:34 | maté bidding process likely to fail , if they fail to execute 55m contracts. MOD will pick that up. FY revenue 29m which doesn't tick box either.loads of box to be ticked before go to final stage & MOD very strict. | blackhorse23 |
