21/9/2017 21:20 | Ribble Wader I think they are wrong, it is your risk not Lloyds. Tell them to leave them in the current situation and if they move them out you will hold them liable for any tax implications that may arise. I also have a shed load of Buchans shares which came from Minco, they are not listed but will be on the TSXV soon. I asked my broker if there would be an issue they said no, currently they sit in my account with zero value (ISA). Same should apply here. | keya5000
21/9/2017 17:50 | look on the bright side, if they re-list at 10p, you will have a cgt credit | currypasty
21/9/2017 17:26 | Lloyds letter says...... "Following a review, we have identified that your HAUGE & LONDON OIL shares are not eligible to be held within an ISA. You may be aware that stocks, which are not tradig on an HMRC market, do not qualify as ISA investments, unless they also have a full listing on another Recognised Investment Exchange. In the case of the above stocks there is no secondary listing or trading, since your shares were de-listed on 11th September 2017. Therefore, this stock does not meet the eligibility rules for ISA investment and the stock has been reclassified as ineligible. Under HM Revenue & Customes rules we are required to resolve this situation. We will be making arrangements to move the above listed stock from your ISA to your Share Dealing Account on or before 25th September 2017. If you do not have a share dealing account, we will arrange to open one for you." So I called the help desk, who talked to the ISA people who came back and said "as the shares are not currently traded they do not meet HMRC ISA requirements. When they do relist you can transfer them from non ISA to ISA by selling and buying in one transaction. This will be at the price given on the day. End of conversation. However, my average price is 15p ish. If they list at say 76p I will have 15k x 60p (£9000) which nice Mr Taxman will take his cut (eventually). So I may have to leave them outside the ISA and make sure I only sell quantities which keep me within my tax allowances! | ribblewader
21/9/2017 15:57 | Some not so clever jobsworth giving out bull rather than saying he'd no idea. | 412069
21/9/2017 15:52 | My broker says it is 'my risk' to hold them within the ISA when delisted (since I cannot do anything with them it is no issue), obviously when they come back listed they will be on an exchange so no issues. Lloyds are wrong the call on if these now de-listed shares are held in your ISA is your call. | keya5000
21/9/2017 15:43 | Ribble that is exactly what I do but my broker simply transfers them | solarno lopez |
