Interesting suggestion but i don't think so.

"Shay Segev, who took over in July, told the Financial Times the new name marked a change of direction for the company, which has previously been associated with big acquisitions and a buccaneering attitude to offering gambling in markets where it is not yet regulated.

The group, which will retain its main brands, will now focus on launching in “50 or 60” regulated markets, such as Mexico and countries in central Europe and Africa, as well as moving into “other types of interactive entertainment”, Mr Segev said."

GVC was +4.3% yesterday on the back of Flutter’s numbers so the good current trading was expected, the £40m of extra costs next year wasn’t.

The investor presentation wasn't great. They made a big deal about Africa and Esports being new markets, then when asked about what they are planning to do, they didn't have anything.

Yes when prty were trading in the US in 2007 prior to the ports
act they had fifty percent plus of the market and obviously were number one.
They will be remembered still and we as you all know own them.

A thirty five percent share of $20bn will be nice.

It's undoubtedly going to be a very exciting year ahead, adding 11 US states along with growth elsewhere.We are currently in the top three by market share of the US market. I expect we will take first or second position of a mature US market.

KA was great but there was always a discount applied to the company because of him, because of his share sale, because of Turkey. A clean break from the past is needed. The performance of the business is great with them being able to offset the hit from retail closures, even if half is due to margins. Getting hung up on a name change is bizarre.
