Current tradingOn 8 October we reported our 19(th) consecutive quarter of double digit online NGR growth. We have continued to see strong trading since then as a result of the continuation of an active sporting calendar and strong gaming performances in all our major territories as well as favourable sporting results benefitting margins. This will result in an overall benefit to EBITDA this year of approximately GBP30 to GBP40 million, which largely offsets the GBP37 million impact from the current enforced store closures, as announced on 2 November. Our guidance for EBITDA for FY2020 therefore remains in the range of GBP770 million to GBP790 million. This strong performance will add approximately GBP50 million to the Board's expectations for Online EBITDA for 2021.

Not a problem, they are leading the way in responsible gambling.

Let’s also not forget that their Nevada license expires in May, they need to be whiter than white for that and to show that they’ve changed from 2 years ago when Kenny got an absolute grilling over Turkey.

Agree, out manoeuvre instead of conflict, then use the
management time more effectively.

Absolute drivel fenders66. Anyone who has followed the gaming space for a while knows Shay very well from his time at Playtech as well as his stint as COO here. There is nothing at all in the release to suggest that he thinks that the business can run itself, the move to 100% regulated and greater play protection shows that the business it doing the right thing, if the industry can show that it is cleaning itself and improving self regulation that lessens the chance of draconian government regulation.

Very interesting name change, to entain. This would fit nicely
into Flutter Entertainment wouldn't it.
Then all systems go in the US, with a US listing or with mgm.

There is more to this than you think, especially with the new 1600p
price target, very happy myself.

Can anyone think of a name change for a major company that achieved anything?

Its as if he now thinks that the business can look after itself and his strategic role is to think of creative names....

We know very little about him but this does not bode well to me.

When did they ditch the Roar Digital name? Looks like the US corporate site is now BetMGMInc.com.

Sounds like they have just given away next year's growth to the poor and needy! There is also more than a little implied criticism of the previous regime. All a bit too touchy feely for me!

The 100% owned technology is a dubious claim - they use some third parties for their product. For example, they use BetGenius in the US for 'parlay builder'.

The press continue to try to upset the gvc juggernaut, with
articles like you mention, the same could be said for many
companies over the world enrolling influential people to assist.

The US move is enormous and nevermind what happens in the UK
and Europe the US will end all their pathetic attempts.

Shorters just close and move on.

Yes the target of 1080p is in our sights, then the past all time high.

Looking good, even more so with a US listing or spin off.

A spokesperson for GVC said Davies was no longer working for the company. They said he had advised “on a range of safer gambling and customer protection initiatives”, pointing to his background as a bookmaker and former chairman of a cross-party group on betting and gaming.
“As such, he has useful insight and perspective to offer on a range of industry issues including those that relate to safer gambling,” the company said. “However, following the recent management change at GVC, we decided it was a natural time to bring this arrangement to an end.”

Two Conservative MPs have accepted jobs with the gambling industry worth tens of thousands of pounds before a government review of betting laws, the Guardian can reveal. The Ladbrokes owner, GVC, paid Philip Davies £33,320, or £396 an hour, for "providing advice on responsible gambling and customer service", according to parliamentary disclosures. - Guardian.

Ministers are seeking sweeping powers to block takeovers by Chinese and other foreign companies on national security grounds as part of the biggest shake-up in the UK's industrial intervention policy for nearly two decades. A national security and investment bill is due to be published on Wednesday, which would also allow ministers to retrospectively halt acquisitions any time in the five years after the deal was concluded. - Guardian.

... Certainly no corrupt practises here then.

Yes agree with you both, I would really like a listing
on the nasdaq though, super enormous valuations.

Edit

If we can close above 1011p we will be on to something, fingers crossed.

Peels £16 target is below Kenny's target of £20. I expect Peel will ultimately upgrade to £20.
