Got this reply from the GVC IR when I queried about the CVR payment status:

Hi

The CVR is worth nil if the legislation is enacted prior to 28 March 2019; if after its worth 35p. The UK government plans on implementing the £2 stakes commencing April 2019, however in order for this to be implemented it'll have to be enacted into law first. The company currently anticipates on enactment prior to 28 March 2019.

Hope this helps.

Probably safer buying more GVC then betting on Forest but stranger things have happened

A yield of 4.9% Trentendboy. As a pensioner it looks a very secure investment at these levels, with the promise of a good capital gain eventually. Better than a bond at the moment if you are prepared to tuck them away. I might even double up with a bet on Forest getting promotion!

I expect a bounce and a large one

Talk about oversold - people now see LADS as all that GVC is not realising it is only a small part of the company - big profit centres are elsewhere.

This naivety is impressive but does offer us long term holders a chance to buy in at remarkably low prices (given PE, growth potential etc.)

Drop does not concern me expect for the obvious hit to paper profits

So what is the yield on todays prices - must be over 5% or something stupid

With so much market volatility it could fall further, but I suspect it will nudge upwards between now and the next TU. Buying at this level, in my opinion at least, represents low risk as the company is now materially undervalued.Let's put it this way, would the institutional holders accept a bid at even 40-50% higher than these levels? I doubt it personally.

I think we can realistically expect further turbulence and ultimately a decline in the share price given the continued political uncertainty.

probably down Dow was down and gvc was sold a lot after the bell. really dont know which side the market will head especially May got nothing from EU. May could be resigning tomorrow, no confidence in govt, Corbyn dreaming of No 10. We dont know what market would like to see also even if FTSE 100 was up GVC could still go down.
