yes and big debt doesn't help when most UK stocks are under heavy pressure. I know this has performed well in the past and GVC has good management but the wider economy out there is very tough. I expect more uncertainty until this damn brexit thing is cleared.

Talk of bids is way off the mark IMO.

With virtually all stocks now way off their highs, we are not seeing much, if any, M&A activity. A sure sign of ‘buttoning down the hatches’ rather than splasing out funds that will be needed if the down turn we have seen brings about an economic recession.

Debt is about 2.5 earnings now, but will be paid down in the coming years (forecast to be 2.22 x earnings in 2020).

MGM can't buy gvc out yet, they have an agreement allowing the option to buy each other out after 10 years.

My main fear is that someone like MGM try and take advantage of the weak price and buy this out on the cheap- otherwise perfectly happy to hold and collect a few divis and come back again in a year or 2.

I am in for more but only if the markets turn really ugly (current bull market of 10 years) say @ around 585p. 'Else am happy with my re-entry levels. Very good luck to
everyone.

ecoover, the drop is because of fall in global markets which remain volatile. Fundamentals here remain strong, not forgetting the GVC Chief Financial Officer only recently splashed out £750K on shares at £7.32.

So why this drop ??

2% increase on Italian land and online sports. In Italy there will be full advertising restrictions in place from July 2019. As a result of this change, Gvc owning land based shops will actually be an advantage versus their peers (as Kenny highlighted in the interim results presentation), this along with Gvc taking market share and economy of scale.

The increase in tax is only 1.25 % .

As I understand it Italian operators generate roughly 15% net income post taxation so a 5% rise is a big hit to their profits

Yes but not many. I'm plenty down too. It feels a cracking price to buy more but each time it generates some forward motion down we go again at the moment

individual performance counts for nothing in a market crash. This could drop to a fiver. Selling would be stupid, bite the bullet and WAIT, it will recover.
