Oops need to increase the number to 8 million!

The slide in Sterling continues, with the Euro appoaching Euro 1.10/£. A shame the div is no longer in Euros!

888 up over 7% today with a trading statement stating results will be in-line with expectations. Bodes well for GVCs update next month.

As a large LADS holder and GVC holder I am not sure if this is good or bad news :-)

On balance I had more GVC shares so good I guess.

Always good to save £700 million

888 pre-results are good.

Shows that US sports is really taking off and kicking in

GVC should really be back at 10 soon enough

Not concerned at all and feeling better about my large buys at 7

In the offer document GVC said they eould have to borrow the money to pay any cost associated with the CVR. Kenny never wanted the machines and got Lads for the lowest possible price.

I seem to remember reading a report some time back that the fobt impact wouldn't be as damaging to profit as some think.
It was based on the argument that very few people actually put £100 into them and the average was around £10.
Whilst still a big drop people will still spend a lot at £2 !!!!

GVC must have set aside $780m(?) for CVR settlement.The non-payment now means that not only it significantly strengthens their balance sheet but also gives them plenty of head room to invest in key areas of growth.Yes there will be costs associated with the closure of retail and other outlets but wouldnt have thought they will be significant.

Hi Mylands. Not in despair, just gutted about the downturn. Shame we ended up in the ftse100 and were an easy target to mark down by the MM's.Cost savings are happening but that was already factored into the previous rise. Delivering that saving is now expected and if don't materialise will push us down.The US is our hope here. UK Retail shop closures begin next year and pull back profits on that side.
