29/11/2018 10:31 | I agree Shay and mylands. Long term still plenty of growth. | hubshank
29/11/2018 09:42 | £9! Now that would be nice to reach before this Christmas. No, we are suffering from a general sell-off after a long bull run. It's easy in hindsight to say why didn't we take all, our some of our profits when it was above £11. I said the same when it was above £4 many years ago and fell to below a £1 and look where we are now. Plus add back all those divs and I for one am a happy person. | mylands
29/11/2018 06:18 | I remember last year, Mylands and I were discussing whether the share price would stay above £9.00, on the run up to Christmas. I'm still positive on this stock, looking to add next week, as I'm distracted in trading my gold mining stocks. Its human nature to be downcast when the stock falls and very upbeat when its going up, in trading you have the reverse that thinking process. My holding in gvc has increased by 10% over the last 6 months. | shayadfn
28/11/2018 17:08 | I'm feeling remarkably calm considering the lousy timing of my last purchase! Just felt the need to share! :-D | hubshank
28/11/2018 09:20 | possibly a long tree shake, until the next quarterly update. | shayadfn

28/11/2018 08:19 | Is there a reason for the big drop.Am I missing something? | burn248
28/11/2018 05:45 | Its Blackrock buying and selling within a range, as there's no danger of any external news. I suspect as we get closer to the next quarterly update this volatility may reduce, however, the political news seems to affect the ftse and hence all the individual components, the current goverment is limping on the verge of death and the opposition is in 'loonyland. Also the news media has choosen gambling companies as the 'whipping boy' for the season, immigrants are moved down the list as the Daily Mail has a change of editor. | shayadfn
27/11/2018 23:15 | Something for future re US gaming just announced from MGM. Once this sets in their JV with GVC will no doubt be huge but it's down the road obviously."We are excited to enter into this historic partnership with MLB. We are thrilled to create a new one-of-a-kind fan experience for baseball fans. Combining MGM Resorts' world-class entertainment and technology with MLB data will continue to transform a rapidly changing industry. This partnership further amplifies the significance of our GVC JV, firmly establishing MGM Resorts and playMGM as the market leader in partnerships with major professional sports leagues." | noujay

27/11/2018 13:43 | GVC emphasises “big plans and aspirations” after Foxy migration: Gaming and betting giant GVC Holdings has completed the integration of Foxy Bingo to its proprietary technology platform, meaning the group has full control of the customer-facing web interface. Customers of the site are to “benefit from an all-new, purpose built GVC Bingo client,” developed following lengthy consultation with players, creating a focus on delivering the best possible experience. Furthermore, players are also promised an expanded gaming offer to become available over the coming months, coming through a selection of titles from the GVC portfolio of in-house and third-party content. Customer of Foxy’s Cheeky Bingo sister brand are also to see the same benefits, with migration having taken place at the same time. Jon Bowden, GVC’s Head of Foxy Brands, said of the announcement: “This is a landmark moment for Foxy Bingo. The migration onto our proprietary platform allows our marketing, operations, CRM and VIP teams to build an experience fit for our players across everything we do. We are now able to talk to our players through segmented communications, ensuring we’re speaking to the right players at the right time. “From a product perspective, our new bingo client has been built on robust player feedback and a wealth of expertise, creating a best in market bingo experience. We are also confident our players will love the new premium gaming content that we can now offer. “We are only just starting to uncover the capabilities we have from a real-time marketing and personalisation point of view, which is very exciting as it’s a huge part of our plans. “Moving forward we’re focused on giving our players a bespoke gaming experience based on their individual preferences. “We have big plans and aspirations for 2019 and beyond, and this migration is a huge step for us in delivering our visions for Foxy.” | loganair
27/11/2018 13:26 | What has pushed this down so sharply today I wonder?MLB announcement re sports betting this afternoon - possibly partnership with MGM. | noujay
27/11/2018 11:02 | IG dropped like this yesterday, guess this is catching up. | gbh2
27/11/2018 10:33 | Why does GVC seem to drop so much more than it's peers on days like this? | sambessey
27/11/2018 09:46 | The yoyo continues to operate. Rising one day and falling the next. Big profits, and losses, being made trying to second guess where the share price will be tomorrow. | mylands
26/11/2018 19:31 | The whole sector has massively de-rated with regulation risk, headlines every day the latest being underage gambling, this industry is the new tobacco! But we are still relatively cheap,at 10 times only WMH beats us at a mind boggling 7 times earnings and 7.5% yield. PPB still the fevertree of the bookies on c.19 times earnings, 888 11 times with 7% yield. I still think WHM and 888 are likely to combine or get swallowed at these prices. Interesting times ahead, I am very long in this sector after the price falls, too good an opportunity priced for failure, yet the bookies always win. | rimau1
26/11/2018 18:35 | Lottery tickets are for the financially illiterate, you have more chance of winninig on the horses. | shayadfn
26/11/2018 12:15 | Two days ago while queuing to pay for petrol at a petrol station I was shock to see that all the 5 people in front of me also bought lottery tickets like they were at a Chinese take away. It seems to me that I was the only one who was just paying for petrol and no lottery ticket. The first person asked for 3 number 17s, the second person 5 number 20s and so on and so on, one person bought 10 lottery tickets. The government lottery is encouraging gambling and I very much doubt these people who are buying all these lottery tickets even think of themselves they are actually gambling. In my local Sainsbury's it seems to me, that for many of their customers buying a lottery ticket is no different from buying a pint of milk as buying lottery tickets has now become part and parcel of many people life's and completely socially acceptable gambling, like tobacco smoking use to be. | loganair
26/11/2018 11:14 | Unfortunately, the gambling companies are the current whipping boys, so those of us who can afford, we ought to be taking the opportunities, if we believe in the companies we invest in. | shayadfn
25/11/2018 09:41 | Excellent 'viewpoint' by Jeremy Warner in today's business section of the Sunday Telegraph about Denise Coates' £265 million 'pay' packet. The article highlights that the politics of envy are rife in British society, instead of the celebration of wealth creation. It is definitely worth reading. The same should have been said when Kenny was crticised for his pay packet, which ignored the wealth creation he has achieved for GVC shareholders. | mylands
24/11/2018 20:37 | Aha - thanks for all the clarification. Fair enough.I'll still take any job anyone offers me over 100m a year. CM | cheshiremoggie |
