Interesting the commissioner for the NBA is also saying he wants to see gambling, typically American he says that the teams have Intellectual Rights to the game and therefore for the gambling companies to pay a royalty to the NBA to be able to provide betting on their sport, in the same way TV companies pay to show their games.

Someone has just offloaded/bought 3.5 million, shown as a buy.

Haven't kept tabs on institutional shareholdings this month but have just updated my list which shows an increase in their holdings to 82%. Short positions of over 0.5% now total 10.52%.

Short positions have now jumped to 14.34%. That's one hell of a large bet on the share price falling.

Thursday will be a historic date for gvc. Just in time for major sporting events including Grand National and World Cup. FTSE100 here we come!

The company view is that it is just the market...the whole sector is down.I dont buy into that...

New brokers note covering the combined unit sometimes in May...

Seems to be an intra day trading opportunity. sell in the morning and buy back close to the close.

I cant work it out. Cant be based on fundamentals. Got to be some technicality connected to the imminent Lads close I reckon. But i cant recall this effect when we got close to the finish line with Bwin/Party.

Good money to be made playing the swings in the share price Seems that above and below 900p is the range to trade.

All trading in LCL seems to have stopped, There was a 1.1m UT trade at 2pm, which seems to indicate 'an end of day' for Ladbrokes.

Just announced, Court has sanctioned scheme and the new shares will be listed on Thursday.

It looks like you can still trade LCL.Existing LCL shares I guess have been ring fenced ready for converting.I've no visibility of where mine have gone. With regards to volumes, 1000's of employees sharesave accounts had LCL shares purchased with their savings if they took the option. Not sure was that Friday or today.

According to the Event Calendar released by GVC with the March 21st RNS on the CMA decision the LCL shares are not cancelled and the new GVC shares issued until the 28th/29th March.

So, as of now the existing shares are still valid and being traded.

All my LCL shares vanished from my Halifax Share Dealing account Friday morning, so switch over def. happening.

I think the fall was something to do with the Lads takeover. Am sure the new shares of the the combined group start trading tomorrow.

Its always a tad dodgy when this stock goes xd, although it went xd on Thursday it didn't move much, there was a delayed reaction, I noticed the shorts had increased on xd day, I reduced my holding first thing Friday @£9.52, looking to buy back and increase my holding as we approach 1st Qtr trading update in April. I increased my gold mining stocks.

When do the LADS holders get their GVC shares? Is it something to do with the timing of that?

Unless I have it wrong, for some unknown reason, that's over 18% of the company's shares traded in one day!

LADS also had a large volume, with nearly 8% of their shares traded.
