03/3/2018 12:08 | Only a few weeks until we get the FOBT decision. Not obvious what is best but for sure £2 a spin would be negative for share price Hard to know what is priced in at the moment.Given it impacts the TO cost a lower limit would mean a cheaper TO cost | trentendboy

01/3/2018 15:20 | Wrong Finkie.Take it from one who knows, there are not that many casinos, and those who frequent bookies FOBTs would not be very welcome in them.More importantly, casinos are too SLOW.The hardened roulette fobt player needs to spin £100 every few seconds, and be in control of that all important button. | festario
01/3/2018 15:03 | Surely hardened roulette addicts would just go to a casino to be able to bet £100+ easily, if there's a demand the market always finds a way of relieving you of your cash, or you play online on your phone, stakes arent limited there and wont be after this ruling.... | finkie

01/3/2018 14:28 | Ladbrokes Coral is exploring the possibility of turning a number of its retail premises into Adult Gaming Centres (AGC). These arcades would include C&D gaming machines (fruit machines), with up to 20% of their games inventory being category B3 & B4 gaming machines slot machines featuring limited stakes and fixed prizes. The arcade option could offer a solution if a ‘nightmare judgement’ is made and FOBT maximum stakes are reduced from their current level of £100 to under £10. In that scenario, Ladbrokes Coral’s 3000+ UK retail portfolio would become a corporate burden, with City analysts forecasting upwards of £450 million in losses in annual FOBTs revenues. This is a case of one of the world’s largest betting brands thinking on its feet and trying to find ways to protect against the dreaded nightmare FOBT scenario. If the impending government ruling decides to drastically reduce the maximum stakes of the fixed-odds terminals, it’s clear that the UK retail betting sector will take a serious hit. Ladbrokes Coral may well have found a way to soften the blow. Is this a Ladbrokes idea or one of Kenney's??? | loganair

01/3/2018 13:57 | Debt Syndication - GVC Holdings PLC (LSE:GVC), the multinational sports betting and gaming group, has today announced the launch of general syndication for the debt financing package supporting its intended Acquisition of Ladbrokes Coral (LSE:LCL). The financing consists of £1,400 million equivalent First Lien Term Loan B (comprising £, € and US$ tranches) and a £550 million multi-currency revolving credit facility. 28/2/2018 13:12 | Hills au been hit by govt ban on taking credit cards...not sure the extent Ladbrokes affected | jeff h
28/2/2018 12:36 | It seems that Ladbrokes are able to make a good profit from their Australian operations while William Hills are only able to make a loss and it seems Hills wants to get rid of it quickly. Sound rather like BWIN, once taken over my GVC, BWIN went roaring ahead. If Ladbrokes does buy Hills Australian operations it looks like they will get them for half what Hills paid for them just 5 years ago. The speed of the sale says to me that Hills is ready to make a take-over or be taken-over themselves. | loganair

28/2/2018 12:00 | William Hill was dragged into the red last week as it slashed the value of its Australian. Its Australian business, whose chief executive is high-profile bookmaker Mr Waterhouse, has been placed under a "strategic review" and is now up for sale. Industry sources confirmed multiple bookmakers had done due diligence on William Hill Australia in recent weeks, and said a deal could be sealed imminently. Announcing its yearly results on Friday, William Hill revealed the £238 million ($424 million) write-down against its Australian business, which accounts for 7 per cent of William Hill's overall group revenue. The write-down pushed William Hill to a pre-tax loss of £74.6 million ($133 million). This is what Ladrokes said about their own Australian operations - while in Australia, positive results and increasingly effective risk management helped gross win margins 1pp higher. Ladbrokes.com.au continues to go from strength-to-strength | loganair

27/2/2018 14:29 | Woodhawk It's in a good trading range, high 800's to low 900's. Take the opportunity to make a quick buck, I'm in for the longhaul and never forget how well it has rewarded me. March 9th is the next important date with the release of the y/e figures and a trading update. Maybe we will see a rise ahead of those figures. Back above 900p, just! | mylands
27/2/2018 11:55 | Back below 900p yet again, mylands! Just how many MORE times do I have to win? I think that's at least 3 times now!! Gone long for a quick bounce (hopefully). | woodhawk |
