07/3/2018 08:59 | Fest, same as Active for me. Paddy Power marked down on their prelims. I don't think I have ever seen a statement like this about current trading where they say bookmaker friendly results have resulted in a drop in betting! Current trading and outlook The new financial year has started as 2017 ended, with sporting results favouring bookmakers. This sustained period of bookmaker friendly results has, however, significantly affected customer activity, including reduced re-cycling of customer winnings. | mylands

07/3/2018 02:12 | Oh don't get me wrong... I'd be a buyer at these levels too, if I wasn't so involved in VRS.In fact I'd love to buy myself another 50k GVC from VRS profits when it hits the inevitable 200p.Then I'd have me favourite income share of all time again, GVC), ...together with a major holding in the best and quickest growth share I've ever seen (VRS)No ramp intended, just the facts so far. | festario
06/3/2018 18:52 | Rather than sell, I'm buyer, I was selling when it was well over £9.00, Although having said that, I only reduced my holding by 15k. | shayadfn
06/3/2018 10:04 | mylands agree,but up to Fest.I would have sold half,and retained 50%. | garycook
06/3/2018 08:59 | Festario Sorry to see you leave the ranks of GVC longterm holders, but understand your thinking especially in these uncertain times, with Trump in the White House and Brexit around the corner. However, I like to think that having some of my wealth in online gaming has to be a good place for it to be invested. Finally, I can't resist saying it, but like some others, having had ALL and more of my money back by way of dividends, it seems a no brainer to me. | mylands
06/3/2018 08:21 | From the FT.GVC de-risks its betsLooking for a game that's safer than Russian roulette? How about Georgian poker?.?.?.? No, it's not the latest ad campaign from an online gaming site. But it would appear to be the thinking behind GVC Holdings' latest deal. On Monday, the FTSE 250 group - which is in the process of acquiring Ladbrokes Coral for up to £4bn - said it would buy 51 per cent of Crystalbet in the Republic of Georgia for the rather smaller stake of 41m.And it is a transaction that is all about taking less risk, in a regulatory and financial sense.Georgia - unlike Turkey, where GVC disposed of its operations last year - is a fully regulated gambling market in which Crystalbet holds licences for sports and casino betting. Turkey, by contrast, is technically a black market, where gambling is illegal but possible online. Continuing to operate in that country therefore represented an ongoing regulatory risk to GVC, and its ability to gain approval for future deals - so much so that it waived 150m of sale proceeds from the Turkish business. It gave it away, to prevent anything impeding the Ladbrokes deal, on which investors vote this week. Moving into Georgia continues this shift towards regulated markets, or "grey" markets heading for regulation. However, this time, the terms appear loaded in GVC's favour. Its 41m buys 51 per cent of Crystalbet's 12m of earnings, implying a valuation multiple of only 6.7 times for control. It has also agreed to buy the remaining 49 per cent in three years' time, for whichever is the lower of 7 times earnings or 150m. So it has capped the price and incentivised management to increase earnings by 70 per cent. GVC's negotiating skills appear to have improved. It ought to play poker. | frankiethecabbie
06/3/2018 08:14 | If GVC continues this downtrend, might have to take the cash being offered for the LCL shares instead of converting to GVC.Any thoughts anyone? | tyroneshares

06/3/2018 07:28 | Seems about right. Dividend of over 3 percent seems pretty good given the current market interest rate.Gvc also a lot safer than it used to be and throwing off cashLooking like a decent entry price around this level | trentendboy
06/3/2018 04:11 | So if around 35.5 Euro cents paid and around a possible 32p of dividends payable in 2018 ? So that makes the current yield 3.72% atm.Can anyone clarify my Maths.32p divided by £8.60 correct ? | garycook
05/3/2018 20:11 | The yield is much smaller because the market believes in the yield to be sustainable so the price of shares has been lifted . Before with overexposure to unregulated markets the yield was like market doubted it . Now, gvc is safe investment and will be in ftse100 . | t 34
05/3/2018 18:47 | But T34, the dividend yield is much smaller now than it used to be.And on that basis I have sold 50k shares here since December.I am completely out of GVC for over 3 weeks now, and switched across to VRS. (Which has gone bananas)I've had an amazing 8 year run with GVC from 96p, and I may well switch back here if the price continues to weaken, and the divi becomes more attractive. But for now, I'll say adios, ... and the very best of luck to all holders. | festario
05/3/2018 18:03 | Will the 200 DMA hold? Time to add a few? | mnomis
05/3/2018 16:57 | Thanks .So might be paid divi twice in 2018 and on each occasion payment must not exceed 17.5 ( or 18 ) euro-cents . Looks like divi is sound and secure. | t 34
05/3/2018 16:41 | T34 Here it is from Page 50 of the Recommended Offer: GVC Permitted Dividends Under the terms of the Acquisition and save as set out below, prior to the Effective Date GVC Shareholders will be entitled to receive either: a final dividend announced, declared or paid by GVC for the period ended 31 December 2017; or a second interim dividend announced, declared or paid by GVC in an amount equal to the anticipated final dividend for the period ended 31 December 2017,provided that any such dividend shall not exceed €0.175 per GVC Share. If (i) the Acquisition has not become Effective and (ii) the Long Stop Date is extended beyond the later of Ladbrokes Coral’s and GVC’s respective customary half-year interim dividend record date, GVC Shareholders will also be entitled to receive any half-year interim dividend announced, declared or paid by GVC in respect of the half-year period ending 30 June 2018, provided that any such dividend shall not exceed €0.18 per GVC Share. Any dividend that is permissible under the above criteria is a “GVC Permitted Dividend”. GVC does not intend to declare any dividends other than a GVC Permitted Dividend prior to the Effective Date and, under the Co-operation Agreement, has agreed not to. For the avoidance of doubt, if completion of the Acquisition occurs after the declaration of a GVC Permitted Dividend but before its payment date, GVC Shareholders will be entitled to receive such dividend. | mylands
05/3/2018 13:21 | Who can confirm that the part of the deal is the limitation of dividend to 17.5 euro-cents ??????? | t 34
05/3/2018 13:08 | Charts looking quite rounded here, but a lot of companies charts aren't looking as great as they once use to. | bulltradept |
