A big sell off occuring now at the end of the day and huge volume again.

I'm not convinced that its just the Germany thing. After all EU is over riding there.

If there are big technical shorts on here then they have to cover at some point and being short of this management is a dangerous place to be as they have proved time and tome again over the years.

Not being a shorter, I was wondering how shorters can carry a position over the day this takeover becomes effective, when the shares they have borrowed and sold are then cancelled.

Post the deal, gvc will be 90% operating in regulated markets which i believe is the highest for all uk listed peers. 888 being 70% in regulated markets i understand.

Today's volume has to be a record - 8,696,313! Nigh on 3% of the company traded.

Correct that, it is now 10,523,263, over 3%.

Add back the 15p div and we are getting within 2% of the all-time closing high of 982 reached on Jan 4th.

The company has just posted the Forex rate for the div which reults in the div being 15.190p/share

By the way TrentEndBoy. No sweaty palms at LAD HQ as the building closed down last Nov if you didn't know. Most people took redundancy and remainders mostly contractors working from Coral offices.So not sure what "fat" you're referring to?

I'm not sure that was ever too much of a risk based on geographies. If they let PP Betfair through and Lads/Coral then this one was never in doubt.Interested to see where it goes tomorrow ex-d. When lads went ex-d couple of weeks back it actually went up a bit but this will more likely track lower imo. Lads holders are effectively underwritten at 1.62 with a chance of more whereas GVC have the risk of paying more.

I agree with an earlier post - LADS has a lot of fat to be trimmed.Will be a bloodbath but massive savings here alone.Be some sweaty palms in LADS HQ
