Back on the 1st November, the last time the Major Shareholdings have been updated on the company website, Majedie were the 4th largest shareholder with 10.5 million shares (3.48%). Since then they have been consistently offloading their stake and with today's RNS from them they are down to 3.029 million (1%).

Fest, we picked them as they had an office in Colwyn Bay and the staff were very helpful, hopefully all will be ok!

Just got this message from Share Prophets

Beaufort clients will get their cash and shares back but it looks as if it may take a while. Special Administrators to the City broker, PWC, has just written to all customers and it looks as if this is an almighty mess. I suspect there are a few connected with Beaufort who will be sweating.

Bloody Hell Andy!Just out of interest, why did you choose Beaufort? I know them as dodgy financiers of even dodgier AIM companies who are desperate for cash.The law states that brokers must keep their clients shares ring fenced and untouched by them. So you should be fine.But...there have been rumours that they have been engineering many AIM pump and dump scams, to artificially inflate a share price, which is illegal.That's why they've been suspended as I understand it.

Last September I moved my GVC shares to an account with Beaufort.today I have received an email saying that they are in administration! So now I'm worrying about how safe my 58000 shares are? I tried the phone number but they can't comment about my account. Seems they have secured the accounts but we can't access them until mid April at the earliest! That was some shock this morning !

mylands - many of the increased Shorts were the Institutions going 'Long' Lads and 'Short' GVC which is usual in a take-over case.

Pleased to see no more UK acquisitions. Streamlining the business, reducing the shop numbers and reinventing the retail is enough to be getting on with!The US will open up and with the size of the newly merged company they should be able to partner up with (or even acquire) plenty of partners to participate in that journey.Hats off to them for more great performance though.

Doubt if brokers will issue any updates at this juncture.Suspect they will wait for the acquisition to be done and dusted before giving further forecasts.

A question I asked a few days ago about Lad's turning some of their retail shops into 'Adult Gaming Centres - ADC', Lad's has already applied for a license to do so - Is it Lads idea or one of Kenny's, any ideas?

It seems senseless and silly to me, where I use to live, with in 400yds there are still 2 Corals and a Ladbrokes and it makes sense to me to change one of these in to an ADC, especially as the town has 2,500 university students which will rise to 5,000 with in the next 5 years.

It seems to me what Kenny has been saying is that he is likely to continue to make bolt-on's such as the one he's just made in Georgia, spending an odd 100 million here and a 100 million there, to become one of the top three in the country concerned.

When it comes to the US, it is slowly, slowly then one day we'll find they've opened up with out us really being aware of it.

Interesting to read from Kenny that any further add-ons will be international and not UK.

"We bought Ladbrokes Coral and we are done for the UK. Ladbrokes is what we wanted, we got them and we are biggest in the UK when the deal closes so we don't need anything more here."
