Hi Fest - well done on your 461 free shares. I guess you sold some 10,000 4% below the peak at 962p but wondered why you did not sell more ( I believe WH sold his entire holding)?
Just hoping to glean a little insight from the maestro and rein in my tendency to buy too early.

I'm just watching the BWIN sponsored Grand Slam of Darts on Sky Sports.First time I've ever seen a GVC brand advertising itself in the UK on such an event.

Lads has a huge customer base, about double that of Hills and the same of their on-line which accounts for around 30% of Lads turn over.

Great thread and useful comments. I just continue to hold. I thought the Turkish sale was a good move. I'm not sure about a Ladbroke acquisition - but hey what do I know. Everything has its price.

The constant in this is that over the years the GVC Board and KA in particular have skilfully steered and grown this company. Why would they not continue to do that? So I trust our management, and I trust them to make the right decisions. So I just continue to hold.

Chatting to Investment Guru yesterday, I did mention a possible fall to the 870 range, before a recovery.I was going to wait to buy at that point, but I couldn't resist doing it today instead, for the sake of 1% here or there.

I calculate October NGR at Euro 93m based some averaging of Q3 results and their indication of 26% uplift over 2016.If they just maintain that for the next two months we will exceed.

Based on their last trading statement, my back of the envelope calculation suggests that we are on track to exceed Euro 1bn NGR this year against brokers forecast of Euro 966m.Feel confident we will get an ahead statement before the year is over.

The retrace on profit taking is understandable although unless we are all heading for the exits (which the low volume suggests we are not!) it seems to me a bit overdone at this point. Surely the reason is concern at a Lads deal, albeit Kenny Alexander has stated that it could be anybody, due to the latest increase there and the GVC drop. Of most concern to me is the relative capitalisations and it ending up as a merger of equals.At least one of mine is moving well today in GAN, which I suspect a few here must have had a bite of too.
