16/11/2017 16:14 | Interesting to see how PPB is climbing back up from its low of 6,600 in August to 8,800 now. Any linkage with the rise of GVC? A merger of these two giants of the online gaming industry would really be something! | mylands
16/11/2017 16:14 | Pushing at 910p guys with a late flurry of activity. | fizzypop
16/11/2017 10:37 | Don't sell yourself cheap, Active! | woodhawk
16/11/2017 10:05 | Yes, and I want 1200p minimum if Powerstars comes bidding, too. | srpactive
16/11/2017 09:50 | Back above 900p again and still seeming to want to move higher. | mylands
15/11/2017 13:57 | R I think you are correct with your first point, by doing this the US would be able to have all revenue from onlining, just like they like it, all for them. But they would have to offer £3.7bn plus, ironically a figure our KA mentioned recently, maybe he was answering PS with a figure. | srpactive
15/11/2017 13:53 | GVC's Mkt Cap is £2.5bn OK wrong currency, but if they have a bit of loose change in their pocket GVC could be the target, or it doesn't have to be an all cash offer. The Poker World would go TOTALLY WILD ! Stars is seen as PartyPoker is seen as the upcoming saviour. 888 Mkt Cap < £1bn so they could be after 888, + some tiddlers, or Hills or Lad. | rbcrbc
15/11/2017 13:24 | I think the 888 the company WAS in trouble and paid a fine. That's now over and done with.888 the business has not been in trouble at any point apart from the one off hit to profits from the fine.A significant difference between the two ways of looking it.From those of you who are looking at the 'disastrous' share fall from 950+, just take a long look at the 12 month chart. And smile!!CM | cheshiremoggie
15/11/2017 13:08 | If they are only raising $2.5B it's not likely to be GVC I'd suggest! I think the accompany message was that they'd like either one large acquisition or three or four smaller ones. I would have thought 888 is a decent target plus they have some US access which might fit. | noujay
15/11/2017 13:06 | InterestingI am sure it is true. You can buy a lot for 2.5 billionWould give them the sports brands they needHmmmm | trentendboy
15/11/2017 13:00 | I hold 888 and am happy to keep holding, I have heard a suggestion that Stars is raising $2.5bn ?? to takeover someone, could be 888 GVC or who knows. | rbcrbc
15/11/2017 11:23 | 888, one of Britain’s biggest online gambling firms, is to pay a record penalty package of over £7.8million as a result of serious failings in its handling of vulnerable customers. The action follows the discovery of significant flaws in 888 UK Limited’s (888) social responsibility processes, which aim to protect consumers from gambling-related harm. | srpactive
15/11/2017 11:22 | F You only get a fine and slap on the wrist for being in TROUBLE. Are you saying they were not in trouble but they just paid the big fine, christ, really. | srpactive
15/11/2017 11:15 | finkie,Thanks for your post.I would buy more GVC,but have enough.My thinking on 888 is the possibility of a T/O.Only looking to buy 3,000.Dividend on 888 around 6% correct ? | garycook
15/11/2017 11:08 | re above two posts 888 were'nt in trouble they had a small fine and a slap on the wrist recently, main issue is that the long standing family owned stake in the business was recently sold at 243p which was a bit of a surprise, it could pave the way for a takeover as that was always the difficult obstacle to overcome, but why did he sell at the price...Hills or someone similar has to take them out but i thought the family holding was always holding out for 300p or more...hence the slight confusion. Overall in my mind its fine to add or buy at these levels. | finkie
15/11/2017 10:10 | I have enough in the gambling industry anyway, but I cannot give a real view, but wasn't 888 in a little trouble recently? dyor as I know you do. | srpactive
15/11/2017 10:05 | srp,Looking to buy some 888.Any views.And would you buy it atm ? | garycook
15/11/2017 10:03 | Does anyone have a valuation for Cozy? Based in Douglas, which is handy. | srpactive
15/11/2017 10:00 | Sterling continues to weaken against the Euro and with all the shenanigans going on over Brexit can't see the fall being reversed any time soon. | mylands
15/11/2017 09:38 | IR just confirmed that they had made the acquisition but that it was indeed not material thus no announcement required. | noujay
15/11/2017 09:20 | Not sure if anybody saw this. I just stumbled on it. I wonder if they are looking to push forward in this area, which I believe is a relative underperformer.https | noujay
15/11/2017 09:20 | Indeed, loganair, I'm hoping for somewhere between 960p and 1000p this move up. Of course, a bid might take it higher ;-) | woodhawk
15/11/2017 09:00 | GVC is still very much in a Bull trend with Higher Lows and Higher Highs. | loganair
15/11/2017 08:51 | w You are welcome. I am okay at getting into the recovery situations at the right time, but not as good trading, what is your little metric if you do not mind me asking? | srpactive |
