13/7/2024 21:06 | Arc, fair enough, suppose it was a question that was perhaps never going to be answered meaningfully. I've been following here from the sidelines from a long time without wading in. I am convinced that something is going on at the moment and 🤞 it is a sale. If so, 40 per share doesn't seem ridiculous given an offer would likely be upwards of 8B, although I think there are some major hurdles to be overcome because any major oiler would have a hard time justifying spending such significant sums (of shareholder money) with no current route to market, at least in the short term (my opinion). I also don't believe that if this was an open secret in the city, every man and his dog wouldn't already know about it. It would be impossible to keep something like this a secret (imo). What I also don't understand is the hullabaloo caused by people expressing reasonable opinions on the board. The people that post only have influence over a handful of retail investors and make little to no difference to the movement of the gkp share price. Hopefully bang is correct and Monday brings good news but I have my doubts. Good luck to all lth. I would encourage more sensible holders of gkp to share their views. | ![]() oilermam
13/7/2024 20:16 | Btw 2.2% conc and 1.4 VWAP to such precision is clearly by design, as is the rest of the choreography building to the sale RNS.I think they will want the share price much closer to the final sale price,so pump starts Monday I reckon | ![]() bang_gone

13/7/2024 20:10 | Oilerman I do feel sorry for you but if you go around asking questions like where does JBG get his info what can you expect? He makes it up as he goes along -in the clouds of Cabernet Sauvignon. Bang`s share price target is c £40 and he`s expecting it to rise to somewhere near that so hang on to those shares despite the Coventry. He may be right one of these decades. | ![]() arcadian

13/7/2024 19:18 | John, I hope you're right, but where are you getting the inside info from. Also, if it's true and commonly known in the city, wouldn't the share price have risen dramatically already? I agree that something is afoot but not sure exactly how it's going to pan out. | ![]() oilermam
13/7/2024 18:59 | 581 yes no surprise that the camel traders busy enriching themselves will wrap this up just when it suits them. Seems like there is no limit to the amount of shame they can carry. | nestoframpers

13/7/2024 18:01 | It's clearly specific targets hit , after 8 weeks of buyback. They have 1.5m left I reckon , which will be imo used to ramp this a lot higher, now they have very cheaply hit the targets necessary, that's to allow a reissue dilution to cover all the options vesting on sale.. | ![]() redbed

13/7/2024 17:29 | Latest from Goldmans... Peak oil demand is still a decade away The demand for oil is expected to rise over the next decade, amid lackluster electric vehicle sales and sustained global economic growth, according to Goldman Sachs Research. “We think peak demand is another decade away, and more importantly, after the decade it takes to peak, it plateaus, rather than sharply declines, for another few years,” write Nikhil Bhandari, co-head of Asia-Pacific Natural Resources and Clean Energy Research, and analyst Amber Cai. | ![]() highlander7
