The conversion of preference shares to ordinary stock only happens if it is in the holders interests to do so , its their choice, IE they get more cash but take more risk.
So only reason to do it here after a decade or two is because the company is sold TBA.
Simple really.
Each $ 1bn paid will equal about £ 2.70 quid a share.
Be amazed if its less than 4 bn - so about 11 quid minimum

The target for GKP's massive assets is at least £110 per share.

WQ and friends

We are close on valuations but differ on risk. Time will tell.

H7,
I agree, a few weeks back we got encouraging news which centred on Ramadan.
I'm hoping, this time, we have a positive result.
And as I said about a month ago, if there isn't a result for IOCs and krg, then they have carte blanche to go independent and get the oil flowing through the pipeline.

You can add $151m to whatever valuation one comes up with!!!

Plus the capital cost recovery and that's before we get to the value of the field itself.

I would be happy with the company generating substantial cash equivalent to more than half its current market cap and doing buybacks and/or dividends. The pipeline will reopen just because its current an untenable dynamic with $10 billion « missing » from the budget. What would drive the share price substantially higher would be very clear and stable rules on oil exploration and comercialization. Then a 3 to 5 times the current price could happen. All the rest is daydreaming and/or spamming.
