22/3/2024 12:29 | "If it went to arbitration in an international court all sorts of stuff would be dragged up including this which would be a complete and utter nightmare for the Federal Government:-" And you think that Erbil would be fine with it sarah? You reckon they would be happy for a forensic analysis of their OI? Have you not considered that it could be Erbil that wouldn't want the spotlight shone on them? | bigdog5

How about explaining to all here why you have what must be in excess of 150 different names you post under. Hey scotty snowflake, (you really live up to your name) found the evidence to support your view that was supported by several tick ups from other clueless idiots about OM63's demise yet? 22/3/2024 11:58 | Maliki: No political force is thinking of marginalizing the Kurds K24 - Hawler: 22 Mar 2014 "Nuri al-Maliki, the leader of the rule of law coalition, says the oil and gas law must be passed in Iraq to distribute rights and end the conflicts that are repeated annually in the budget. In a televised interview, Maliki stressed that compliance with the constitution guarantees the rights of the rightful owners in Iraq, neither the government nor any political force thinks of marginalizing the Kurds and drying up their sources of income. The leader of the rule of law coalition said the violations of Iraqi sovereignty are part of the reason for the destroyed Iraqi regime. Maliki said he would not reject early elections in Iraq, if elections are held, but reject the multi-circuit system because it is not compatible with the balance of the Iraqi population. "The problems between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad will be resolved soon," he said. The political, administrative and economic disputes between Baghdad and Erbil continue and successive Iraqi governments have constantly tried to weaken the Kurdistan Region's position through these problems. Baghdad is using the salaries and budget as a pressure card against the Kurdistan Region, which has consistently reaffirmed its commitment to the constitution and law" | punter26

22/3/2024 10:46 | So lets assume the pipeline contract between Iraq and Turkey ends tomorrow. Personally I don't see how that makes a huge difference, the KRG are still massively in debt and in the build up to the pipeline closing they were struggling to make ends meet financially AND THE IOC'S HAD NOT BEEN PAID FOR 6 MONTHS. Ok so you might say at that point the ICG were not paying salaries etc but that will be the case again if KRG strike an independent deal to export oil. The KRG seemed to have managed the situation financially for several years but in the end it was a total shambles with massive debt. Maybe I'm missing something and the end of the pipeline contract gives us new hope but I'd need somebody to explain why this would be the case. | hangthedj
