Another one from Draw Media.

Iraqi Oil Minister to arrive in Erbil tomorrow.

The Iraqi Oil Minister will arrive in Erbil tomorrow after meeting with foreign oil companies in the Kurdistan Region.

Iraqi Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani will arrive in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG) tomorrow to meet with Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and his acting minister of natural resources, media close to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) said.
The minister will be accompanied by the head of the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO).

The Iraqi Oil Minister's visit to the Kurdistan Region comes after the Iraqi Oil Ministry representatives met with foreign companies in the Kurdistan Region's oil sector in Dubai on November 8, a meeting in which the Kurdistan Regional Industry Association (APIKUR) set its conditions for resumption of oil exports He said that the most obvious of these was the repayment of debts by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in the amount of (1 billion) dollars, in addition to protecting the contracts of these companies with the KRG.

Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has suspended oil exports through the Iraq-Turkey pipeline to the world port since March 25, after the Paris Arbitration Court awarded Turkey $1.5 billion in compensation on a complaint filed by the Iraqi government.

Since then, Turkey has made several attempts to settle the compensation with the Iraqi government, but there is no prospect of a solution. The Iraqi government has filed a similar complaint against Turkey in the Paris court, and Turkey has filed a complaint against Iraq.
Although the complaints and compensation have not yet been resolved, the Turkish Energy Ministry recently announced its readiness to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, but there are still foreign companies in the Kurdistan Region that must be resolved within the framework of an agreement.

According to the three-year budget law, the Kurdistan Regional Government must export 400,000 barrels of oil per day and the revenue from this oil will be returned directly to the account of the Iraqi Ministry of Finance The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is against the provision of the budget law that determines the share of the total actual expenditure of Iraq, demanding that the share of the region be counted in the general expenditure of Iraq.

The Iraqi government has decided to send 700 billion dinars to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) as a loan for the first three months of this year . . . .
Delegations from both governments are now moving towards amending some articles of the budget law, but this issue has not yet been resolved.

Thanks for that ken, here's the report:-

basnews - Iraqi Minister Says Preparations Underway to Resume KRG Oil Exports.

ERBIL — Preparations have begun to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region through the Turkish port, the Iraqi Oil Minister said ahead of his planned visit to the Region.

All necessary technical procedures have been concluded, marking a significant development following a months-long suspension since March due to legal disputes involving the Iraqi federal government and the Turkish government, Hayyan Abdul Ghani said.

Oil exports from the Kurdistan Region were suspended in March this year after Iraq's legal actions at the International Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Court in Paris.

The recent visit of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani to the Kurdistan Region and the subsequent visit by the Ministry of Oil team signal collaborative efforts to address discrepancies and foster cooperation between the regional and federal governments.

Day 2389 of me posting on a share I despise, because I lost a fortune on it more than a decade ago.

It's winter now, but unlike the summer months, the years I've wasted posting on this due to nothing more than spite will never return.

Yes, my voice is loud and unrelenting, but as I gaze in the mirror, part of me wonders if it is not I who is the moron and the sucker after all?

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Iraqi Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani will visit Erbil on Sunday to meet with the Kurdistan Region’s natural resources minister for discussions about resuming exports of Kurdish oil.

Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) spokesperson Peshawa Hawramani said that Abdul Ghani’s visit comes following an agreement between Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani for a federal government delegation to visit Erbil and discuss resolving the outstanding oil issues.

“The main topic of the meetings will be the issue of the cost of oil production, and the procedures for resuming the Region’s oil exports,” wrote Hawramani on X (formerly Twitter).

The federal government delegation will spend two or three days in the Kurdistan Region capital, he added.

Exports of Kurdistan Region’s oil through the Iraq-Turkey pipeline have been halted since March 23 when a Paris-based arbitration court ruled in favor of Baghdad against Ankara, saying Turkey had breached a 1973 agreement by allowing Erbil to begin independent oil exports in 2014.

Erbil and Baghdad have had multiple rounds of talks about restarting the exports. Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani last week said the problem now is technical rather than political.

Areas where they still need to reach an agreement include existing contracts between the KRG and oil companies, according to Barzani.

Representatives of the Iraqi government and oil companies operating in the Kurdistan Region on Wednesday held their first meeting in Dubai, stressing the need to resume full oil production and exports “under mutually acceptable commercial terms,” the oil producers association stated.

Control over oil exports and revenues has long been a source of friction between Erbil and Baghdad.

Shafaq News/ A delegation from the Iraqi government led by the Oil Minister is scheduled to visit Erbil the capital of the Kurdistan Region on Sunday. The delegation is expected to remain in the Region for two to three days.

Could be a big week, this isn't a flying visit and follows on from last week's Dubai meeting and al-Sudani's unannounced visit on Thursday night when he and Barzani looked to be all smiles.

Having at last decided that they needed to talk to the IOCs, last week in their first meeting APIKUR gave the the ICG the run down on their costs and contractual entitlements with those being one of the main items on the agenda for this upcoming visit and the other being the procedures for resuming the export of oil.

Maybe they've decided to go along with the solution proposed by APIKUR last week in Dubai.

Not much point spending 2 or 3 days discussing procedures for the restart of exports before the other stuff is sorted unless they think they're close to actually doing it.

Fingers crossed.

Shafaq News/ A delegation from the Iraqi government, led by the Oil Minister, is scheduled to visit Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, on Sunday.

The official spokesperson for the Kurdistan Regional Government, Peshwa Hawrami, said, "Federal Oil Minister Hayan Abdul-Ghani, along with his accompanying delegation, is set to visit the Kurdistan Region tomorrow."

Hawrami highlighted that this visit follows an agreement between the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, and Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani to address issues related to the oil file.

"The primary focus of the meetings will revolve around the challenges concerning oil production expenses and the procedures for resuming the export of oil from the Kurdistan Region," he noted, adding that "the delegation is expected to remain in the Region for two to three days."

Oil is Iraq's most valuable natural resource. It accounts for over 90% of the country's exports and is a significant source of government revenue. The oil fields in Kurdistan are precious and have been a source of conflict between the Kurdish and Iraqi governments.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and the Iraqi government have been at odds over the control of oil revenues for many years. The KRG has argued that it should have the right to control its territory's oil and sell it independently. The Iraqi government has argued that the oil belongs to all Iraqis and that the KRG should not be allowed to sell it independently.

No ships on KRG Pier atm.
I personally wouldn't expect any until we hear agreement reached. Probably preceded by S/P action.
Four suitably sized 1.0Mn Brl++ vessels are in the vacinity and slated for arrival Ceyhan in next few days. They will anchor then berth...Maybe Azeri Pier.
We'll keep a good eye on it.
One Turkish owned, is very aptly named:-
"T.Sad-Berk"

In view of all the negative posts from a few, it would be ironic if Sad Berk loaded from KRG Pier... IMO.
Another day closer.

Punter, Iraq, had better start
construction of desalination plants near high population densities.
Desalination plants in sunny countries are cheap to run because you cover the roof with solar panels, a few hectacres, and you get cheap long term power.
I think how a mass of solar plants would deplete the seas, but in Spain we have a slow rising sea level so in the short term it would do it a favor to stop the erosion of many of the Costas beaches.

I digress, have our boats come in yet?

PetroChina are fairly big fish though. Market cap: $170.82 Billion

"As of November 2023 PetroChina has a market cap of $170.82 Billion. This makes PetroChina the world's 59th most valuable company by market cap according to our data."

Happy to be second checked on that it was a Google search.
