There is already civil unrest because of water shortages and now Erdogan is piling on the pressure.

GKP is in no danger and APIKUR is correct with the current strategy because if they dont sort this now then they never will. So worth the wait IMO.

We can safely say now the pipeline isn't opening this year !!
When the agreements are made and backpayment are deposited then its another 4 weeks before any oil flows .
I would say March next year almost one year to the date of closer before any oil flows .
Could take longer who knows as these politicians take forever to agree on biscuits.
I'm happy to hold and wait as gkp must be selling 45kbopd now locally.
So 36k nett to gkp ...
Come on BOD give us an update please 🙏

We are getting paid up front for selling oil in the local market and are profitable, we can wait until they stop treating the oil companies like fools!

Two separate issues need to be resolved.

1. Overdue payments to IOC's which the ICG can't be expected to pay as KRG sold the oil and presumably received the proceeds.

2. Payments going forward which appear to be via SOMO/ICG

But to me that 12.67% of budget for 400kbpd seems a distant memory that isn't going to materialise.

Hopefully some sort of deal can be done but seems as far away now as when pipeline closed.

Rudaw - President Barzani blames Iraq for delay in resuming oil exports.

Nothing we don't already know but meanwhile Erdogan wants the pipeline open and as we saw on Wednesday he's turned the water tap down to a trickle:-

"Member of the Parliamentary Agriculture and Water Committee, Ibtisam Al-Hilali, confirmed today, Wednesday, a significant decrease in the water releases from Turkey to the Tigris River. She pointed out that the Turkish government is using the water issue as leverage to re-export Iraqi oil through the Ceyhan port pipeline,"

Today Rudaw - President Barzani blames Iraq for delay in resuming oil exports.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani on Friday said Baghdad’s failure to pay suitable fees to oil producers is one of the main obstacles to resuming oil exports through Turkey.

Erbil and Baghdad have had multiple rounds of talks about resuming the exports and Barzani said there are still “some measures” that they need to agree on, including contracts the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has signed with oil companies.

He said that Iraq treats oil companies operating in federally-controlled areas as service providers while the KRG treats them as “partners.”

“For example, in the budget law, they [Iraq] have set the [production] fee per oil barrel from the Kurdistan Region at six dollars, which is very low. This has to be increased because they have set the fee [for their oil companies] at a higher amount,” he said.

Control over oil exports and revenues has long been a source of friction between Erbil and Baghdad. Barzani said the problem now is technical rather than political.

“This technical issue should be resolved with Baghdad. To this point, I cannot say the issue, Baghdad’s prevention of the flow of oil, is political. I believe that the issue is a technical one and it requires us to find a suitable solution for it between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad,” he said.

Nah Jake is the only one over there speaking the truth, and you know it Mr troll

Fair dos, you've caught me out. I post over there as Put up and quite enjoy Jake's stories. Very Dan Brown - gkp will be taken over as soon as the secret society known as the illuminati and sinopec receive a pre-ordained signal.
Usually involves a wild goose chase through Florence and the data room before Jake uncovers the truth that has eluded him for 13 years.

The war here is for shares and who gets enough before offering a first bid for the remaining stock.
