BD5"why have Total sold their 18% of the licence containing top quality 36-39 API oil for under $2pb and got the flock out? ""I'm not doing the maths for you "HabshanHere's some maths "were anyone interested".Next week we'll be paid around $34 million for the 1.333 million barrels of apparently almost worthless oil that we produced in June. That works out at $25.5 a barrel. ( and that is net to GKP - the buying price is a lot higher)=============================================================================So please explain Doggie why anyone would pay $25.5 + a bbl for oil you say is only worth $2 a bblMany ThanksH7

Jaap of course is probably one of the best Multi $billion Project Managers /Project Directors around. Trained in house by SHELL and brought in to sort out the FUBAR mess that was Sakhalin Island. Which he did.

I always wondered why he would chose to work for GKP. Then I remembered the potential size of the Shaikan "Project" and the Technical and Political challenges it poses, and it made sense.

Biden is not the President! An actor is playing the part and Trump is pulling the strings. Fake Joe is doing the dirty work with the Democrats onboard. Something DJT couldn't possibly do.

That's a pretty damning interview on Rudaw and will add up to big costs for the operators.

and the maximum price (exclusive of any expenses) which may be paid for a Common Share is not more than the higher of: (a) an amount equal to 5% above the average of the middle market quotations of the Common Shares in the Company (as derived from the London Stock Exchange Daily Official List) for the five business days immediately preceding the date on which that Common Share is contracted to be purchased; and (b) an amount equal to the higher of: i. the price of the last independent trade of a Common Share; and ii. the highest current independent bid for a Common Share on the London Stock Exchange at the time the purchase is carried out, as derived from the London Stock Exchange Trading System

Looks to me as though the buyback will start on Monday. VWAP about low 140's.

Apologies for interupting the hypefest here but if the last great frontier is a good place for investment why have Total sold their 18% of the licence containing top quality 36-39 API oil for under $2pb and got the flock out?

Xom quit after having drilled the licence next to GKP's.
Mol dumped their licences and got out only retaining a portion of shaiCON.

So nestof reckons production is being deliberately held back?

Isn't that at odds with the hosts needing every barrel they can get their hands on in order to pay back their massive debts, the producers and all their workers?

Can you not see an excellent reason why HKN are still there?

But that would entail you clowns doing some research and joining up the clues which over the past 10 years or so you've proved you all suck at it:-)

Re

funny Freudian slip , " Reasonable " instead of "reliable".

DAMN right we have been reasonable, right 1st time Jon Harris.

Also re buy back the parameters stated at about 27 mins are interesting , best market price isn't good enough, just a bit cheaper is all they will take.
