22/8/2021 14:13 | Sino Totally agree. No one buys any oilfield before thorough due diligence is done (confirmation) on all the data made available in the data room. A business case than has to be prepared and presented by the buyer Project Group to the board and its advisors. After that all the numerous questions raised by the board have to be addressed and formally answered by GKP. Nothing is accepted verbally. 2 years for the process would be a reasonable minimum for a field like Shaikan. But could be much longer if you add in all the test drilling and well testing. I sometimes get the impression these idiots think all a buyer has to do is give GKP a Credit Card like they themselves do in ALDI. | highlander7

22/8/2021 13:55 | Even @ $2bbl, 10bn bbls is $20bn. 13bn is $26bn. A way to go yet but some of the cloaking seems to be being peeled back. As the oil minister says: "We have the Sheikhan field, which is one of our best fields both in terms of reserves and the quality of its oil is decent." | pensioner2

22/8/2021 13:27 | Actually H , average recent history of m and a for large/ giant operator reserves , is around $14 /boe and with Occidental most recent scale of deal in 30's$8 is what Wood Mackenzie place in the region s reserves for M and A.The buyers obvs have done their own field model ( 2018 mainly) ,no buyer would buy reserves of this huge scale off a CPR . CNPC fracture studies and well logs in public domain. So imo it could be a deal done far higher than$8 , 25 POUNDS a share, but don't want to be accused of rampingNo surprise if 50 quid plus, but we will find out soon enough. | sinopecchina

22/8/2021 13:23 | Approx 80% of the expected sales revenue is return of past- and ongoing Capex. The remainder is Profit Oil - plus, if it continues, a small rounding sum to cover unpaid invoices. The Profit Oil, at $74/bbl Brent, amounts to approx. $4/bbl. $4/bbl is all the field gives you (leaving aside the slow return of your past Capital Investment), so why on earth would you offer anything more than about 50% of that expected return? $2/bbl on a good day, otherwise $1.50/bbl. | broadford bay
22/8/2021 13:23 | Nestoframpers 638578 There is no way Biden achieved 80+million votes at the election, as I watched the rallies for both he and DJT. Biden won by a massive computer counting machine fraud. Trumps final act as Pres. was to quietly sign the Insurrection Act which put the Military in charge(Flynn?) The fraudsters have been 'singing' and rounded up ever since. No one steals the US election and gets away with it! Trump could not have withdrawn from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan or anywhere without serious insurmountable opposition. But by using fake Joe the withdrawals were/are being achieved with Democrats quietened, no rioting in the US streets and very little protest from the MIC. Fake Joe's job he will be done shortly and Trump will be back. End game soon! | cicero666

22/8/2021 12:35 | Indeed HBD5"why have Total sold their 18% of the licence containing top quality 36-39 API oil for under $2pb and got the flock out? ""I'm not doing the maths for you "HabshanHere's some maths "were anyone interested".Next week we'll be paid around $34 million for the 1.333 million barrels of apparently almost worthless oil that we produced in June. That works out at $25.5 a barrel. ( and that is net to GKP - the buying price is a lot higher)============= | sinopecchina

22/8/2021 12:33 | Paul this $25 per barrel .The first point is 2/3'rds is capex expenses. So you are getting ~$8 per barrel with oil at $68.So in order to get $8 per barrel P2 minus ~opex $3 per barrel.Would require all remaining P2 to be extracted as easily as current amount and for the oil price to not drop and for MNR to pay their dues.I would suggest a buyer would want to make a reasonable profit on purchase. So $5 per barrel looks like break even. Perhaps they want to make $2-3 per barrel.? Perhaps they would pay for the expenses and invoices outstanding? 500+ 90m?Of course this reflects current PSC P2 and current reserves. If there is a massive conspiracy and GKP hides it's reserves and the new company will pay GKP for the new PSC they will get(H7 plan). Then couLd be significantly higher. | officerdigby
