OAPThe reasons you and nest are wrong are many fold.The prime evidence is that no buyer would ever commit without undertaking their own tech DD on the field.That could only be done in the absence of ESP and over a very long data logging period Hence rather than move straight to esp in 2017 to swiftly expand.they didn't.leaving the field NATURAL pressure gradients to be measured across all wells .That data logging ended April 2018.Sales implementation agreement can often be in place 5 years before sale closed.Shell and BG. For example :)

In my opinion the company with the MNR blessing entered a sale implementation agreement probably 3 yrs ago.Hence they didn't accelerate production,(fit esp) rather let buyers have 18 months data logging and modelling Shaikan.

IMO the Kurds have told suitors that GKP will not be up for sale until the HCL , this is the mechanism by which they can wait until the time is right for them, IE POO all the way up , once it is past $80 we might get sold , only then will we see HCL done in swift order.

GKP is looking very attractive now at 14.5 Mill Blls per year. It was us early PIs that raised the cash for the CAPEX through having our investment diluted , so it us that should be getting the Divis not the late arrivals, we will be remembered at the TO IMO

GKP has already retested 200p + after a 52 week high at 202.5p and it is now a bull flag breakout targeting 300p, looking highly likely too with:-

1) Peel Hunt set a GKP BUY target of 275p per share on 11/6.

2) GKP MACD is about to turn upwards on the GKP chart after the 1st GKP Dividend pay out was made on 2/7.

3) The 2nd GKP Special Dividend payment is due to be paid in just 28 days time on 6/8 & there will be increased institutional & PI buying pressure to buy in & qualify for the Special Dividend by 29/7 (T+1) before the record date cut off of 30/7.

4) GKP about to imminently launch a 10 percent share buyback of 21.3 MILLION shares & then retire them.

5) Shaikan 13 well has been in progress ahead of schedule & the drill results are due any day now, taking GKP Shaikan BOPD production up from circa 43600 BOPD to 50000 BOPD.

6) Shaikan I to commence shortly after Shaikan 13 result & also the fitting of 2 ESPs into existing wells to raise GKP Shaikan BOPD production up from 50000 to 55000 BOPD by Q4 2021

Shafaq News/ The U.S. Department of Defense ruled out resorting to a "military solution" to respond to the attacks targeting U.S. forces in Iraq.

ERBIL — Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi will visit the United States at the end of July, a source from the Council of Ministers in Baghdad said.

Kadhimi received an official invitation from Washington two weeks ago, media reports cited an anonymous source.

The premier will meet with US President Joe Biden at the White House to discuss a range of issues, including the ongoing US-Iraq Strategic Dialogue which focuses on the future of the US forces in Iraq.

The US forces in Iraq have been under growing pressure from the Iran-backed Shia militias over the past few months as rocket and drone attacks against their diplomatic mission and military bases significantly increased.

Washington hopes to maintain its hegemony in Iraq and prevent Iran from further expanding its power through its proxy forces in the region.
