cutthecagain's sums are a bit flawed.

The bondholders are - if the restructuring is completed - swapping $527 million of hard-earned money for shares (325 + 250 + 26 + 26 - 100). Though that's valuing the original Conversion upside (hence the low coupon) at zero, and also the Warrants at zero. So the figure is actually much higher than that.

So the actual price paid by them for their shares would be 2.4 cents, which is about 2p per share. But that's excluding the Convertible upside and Warrants "losses". Include those, and it's a lot higher than 2p. For example, with a 3x bagger assumed to be (say) the original Convertible expectation, that adds $650m of "lost opportunity" to the $527m. And then there's the Worthless Warrants figure. Taking all this into account, I get closer to 5p a share as the "cost and lost upside" figure for the bondholders, at face.

As for the future oil price, NO ONE KNOWS, it speculation at best. Payment of arrears, zzzzzzz, like when? The ISIS, again no one knows, its hopeful speculation.
