Tumble weed rolling down the street.
I get the feeling someone is about to jump out and shout Boo :)

On the positive side Brent is making a small recovery. $63.51 Looks to me that it is happy to stay within $60 to 70 price range for the moment

Demand for Heavy Oil to Increase"Into this world of demand outstripping supply for heavy oil comes the TMX. The TMX will allow Alberta to ship highly desired heavy oil from oil sands facilities that have very low depletion rates, with very low break-even points, to motivated buyers with custom-made facilities designed specifically to refine those heavy crudes. This represents an ideal scenario for Canadian producers. They will have motivated buyers seeking a steady supply of highly-prized oil located where transportation costs to Asia will be minimized, all during a period when global demand for heavy crude is expected to increase. Even in a decreasing market, the strong demand for heavy oil will keep Canadian oil at the top of the order sheet "

TIMES BUY RECOMMENDATIONTEMPUSCalm restored bodes well for Gulf Keystone investorsWilliam KayThursday April 01 2021, 12.01am, The Times. Jon Harris, Gulf Keystone's chief executive, has dropped a BROAD HINT that there may be more to come. Depending on the oil price and the continuation of Kurdish government payments, a share buyback or special dividends . New wells and the removal of bottlenecks have led to guidance for 2021 of average gross production of 40,000 to 44,000 bpd, with a 55,000 target. With an eye on its ESG responsibilities, the company has employed more Kurds, reduced routine flaring and drilled a water well for farmers.Shares in Gulf Keystone have bounced back from the low of less than 61p touched last April, but at 178½p yesterday (down ½p, or 0.3 per cent) they are still far short of the 675p of five years ago.....ADVICE BUYWHY The high risks could be MORE than matched by the potential REWARDS .

Heavy Crude.

5th October 2020.

"On the Particular Value of Heavy Crude"

"Why emphasize the importance of “heavy crude,” since many activists like to claim heavy crude is inferior to light crude? That is a common misconception.

Heavy oil is neither better nor worse than light crude. They are distinct products that have similar, but not the same, markets.

Heavy oil refineries produce more gasoline/diesel/kerosene per barrel of heavy crude oil than the light refineries do per barrel of light crude oil. As a bonus, the complex heavy refineries produce a lot less waste petroleum coke per barrel, which also reduces their costs.

Having invested heavily, refinery owners will pay to get the heavy oil that optimizes their returns. This is why the light-heavy price differential has mostly disappeared in the last couple of years."

The Vadinar Refinery for example is now India's second largest single-location refinery, with an annual capacity of 20 million tonnes (405,000 barrels per day) and a complexity of 11.8, which also makes it among the world's most complex refineries.

The size and complexity of this refinery gives it the capability to process a much heavier crude diet. The share of ultra heavy crude, which currently constitute 20% of the crude basket, will go up to 60%; and as a result the overall share of heavy and ultra heavy crude will go up to 80% of the refinery's total crude basket.

LSEOptions and EBT Today 08:39It was unnecessary to transfer Treasury stock to facilitate awardees to both receive and exercise options. One employee has already done so from Treasury. The issue of tad dilutive 500K to EBT also makes one wonder, rather than buy them in ?Looks very much like potential corporate housekeeping pre a sale in my opinion, no doubt the EBT would sell its stock into the offer and be used to compensate staff.

Massive difference between Canada and Koruptistan.
Then there's the minimized transportation costs due to geography.

But thanks for playing highlander7 and in fact more than endorsing my points:-)
