16/5/2024 15:30 | I earned the marksman's badge during my brief stint in the US army, shooting an M14. | rose_by_another_name
16/5/2024 15:13 | Who's to know I don't already have one, Rose? I rose to the dizzying heights of Leading Seaman Instructor in the cadet force! And a Marksman to boot! | theapiarist
16/5/2024 15:02 | You could get a nice boat with that, Ap, if you were as wayward as zoo. | rose_by_another_name
16/5/2024 14:56 | Thanks, Rose. I estimate over a thousand such posts, with a record 7 in a single day. To make it even more laughable, for a lengthy period, he kept insisting that I made an actual loss of several hundred thousand pounds. Whereas the final figure has turned out to be a tax free profit of £405,000. I don't say that in a boastful way, only as an illustration, in the unlikely event of one being needed, of Zoo's supreme stupidity. | theapiarist
16/5/2024 14:45 | Rose, you know nothing so stop thinking you do. You're an idiot. | zooman
16/5/2024 14:36 | Ap has made more than you by holding, zoo, despite your months of mocking him. Talk about looking stupid. The laughs are on you. | rose_by_another_name
16/5/2024 14:00 | You have no idea what my position is you stupid old man. When the share was dropping from 168p I said my last tranche sold was in the 130s not my average was 130. Furthermore I said it would be nice to hit 60p / 60s not that it would go there, albeit it hit 70.5p.Four little clueless idiots latching onto nothing whilst my making themselves look stupid. Aren't you Rose. Haha. | zooman
16/5/2024 13:05 | Might see my 160 on results soon ;-) | tygwyg
16/5/2024 13:04 | Possible to sell at 156p or more right now. | rose_by_another_name
16/5/2024 12:08 | Indeed, Rose. He initially boasted that 130ish was his selling price. As GFM rose he somehow adjusted this figure upwards to 140 something! Having reduced his holding to zero (at whatever price), he stoutly maintained that GFM would fall to the 60s. It only reached the low 70s. But he cannot have bought at that level because he continued with his 60p prediction into the 80s and beyond! I think it safe to assume that, unless Zoo is a liar, he never bought back in. | theapiarist
16/5/2024 12:02 | Unfortunately, banks have mostly stopped offering safe deposit. There are a few safe deposit companies around in major cities, but the travel involved is off-putting for me. Of course there are fewer and fewer bank branches also. | rose_by_another_name
16/5/2024 11:54 | The single drawback to silver coins is their bulk! Similar tax advantages apply to gold sovereigns with the added advantage that a couple of hundred k's worth can be stored in a bank deposit box. The same cannot be said for silver coins. The Spanish Geological Institute have been investigating gold/silver in the tailings of historic copper workings. The findings are quite impressive. There is potential for a company such as Atalaya. | theapiarist
16/5/2024 11:48 | Another post from zoo full of hate and loathing. What a horrible twisted mind he has. Very bitter. Sageman called it spot on. | up just a little bit
16/5/2024 11:41 | Sounds like you sold for more than zoo when he missed that last peak. He has gone quiet about that now, having claimed hundreds of times that you had lost out. | rose_by_another_name
16/5/2024 11:38 | Old British silver coins are a good way to hold silver. Up until 1920 they were sterling, then until 1946 they were 50% silver. They are often traded in kilo bags. As they are currency, there is no capital gains tax when you sell, and the VAT is only charged on the dealer's mark-up (like antiques) when you buy. If you buy bullion, it is subject to CGT and VAT on the full value. | rose_by_another_name
16/5/2024 11:32 | It was a tough decision, JPPP. Bought them quite a number of years ago for 28p on the lure of gold in Zone II. Now I've sold before finding out whether or not there is any! Or how much. A further negative for me is that my heirs won't benefit from IHT relief, but if the company is sold they lose that anyway. Overall, few regrets. With trading bringing my effective price down to 17p and all wrapped up in an ISA it hasn't been a bad result. | theapiarist
16/5/2024 11:04 | interesting that you've sold the A. I sold some thinking that with no news to come the price would now drift - keeping quite a lot because there is clearly a large buyer who is up to something... What do I know? It's up today. A bit surprising post results isn't it? (Q for the traders amongst us) Gold close to ATH's, Silver lagging gold, and at highest price for 11 years. Anyone got a steer on best way to trade them? A good ETF for example? JPPP | jppp
16/5/2024 10:48 | Don't put your money in it, Alan. It's a scam! | theapiarist
16/5/2024 10:42 | zoo thanks for h message very interesting , | alangriffbang
16/5/2024 10:10 | Nar just send it to crybaby UP and sad Rose they need all the help they can get. | zooman
16/5/2024 10:09 | Not sure what to do here. Gold is strong, whether to sell or not ? Pxc is making a good recovery. Still needs to double to break even. | amt
16/5/2024 10:08 | Maybe one day he might engage his brain before he posts. | up just a little bit
16/5/2024 10:05 | Zoo. "At least I don't have to sell marmalade and honey to keep the house warm old man." Just on a point of information. I make marmalade for the breakfast table and I sell honey for charity. A charity that helps and supports people who are less fortunate than ourselves. Perhaps those much like yourself, Zoo. The SBA (Scottish Beekeeping Association) hosted a very interesting Webinar lecture on the theme of the potential that beekeeping has for helping those with mental health issues. I could send you the link, Zoo. | theapiarist |
