The cows are an open and transparent display of 'community responsibility' in action and an example of why GFM has achieved the level of acceptance it has. Let's hope the china /USA trade talks are fruitful and the cyclical demand takes an upturn.stocks are still in decline but at some point the usual 'pile' will appear from no where I guess

And remember, in this country they drive on the wrong side of the road. Maybe thats the answer, rather than a div maybe share holders get together and take an old bus and three minis over and fill them with the shiny stuff...

I don't wish to be negative, but why are the cows not classed as a back hander... Its always been a worry with GFM you could wake up one morning and find you have newt... Britain cant send a gun boat down the Yangtze river any more, we are a total irrelevance. Can CHINA be trusted we shall see. We may need to call on Michael Caine with a modified threat he gave to the Mafia in the Italian Job.

Meant to say the it's not GFM where the possible corruption could be but the people who will sign it off. If they have been involved with things elsewhere.Zoo

Yes you are right the problem is that the people who will give the final say so are nervous. The Chinese have method of correcting this. It's called a bullet which has in part been the reason for the delay.Methinks things will happen when the price of zinc goes higher indeed it's moving north so maybe sooner rather later. I would also imagine that Griffin has been selling low grade zinc ore at the moment due to the low price and once the price reaches a point they will switch to the higher grade.I have more cash to add but as a good woman will say, timing is everything. Better to get on board as it starts to move rather than when it's stalled. But when there is news it could move fast.Zoo

Zoo. Every indication I have ever heard is that Griffin have never been involved in the widespread corruption. They are recognised as one of only a handful of ‘foreign’; companies to succeed in China and have excellent relationships with the authorities- ( remember the cows, local employment, excellent safety record etc) - if my memory serves me correct they may actually be the only foreign company to have been awarded a mining licence in China - but I stand to be corrected. I hope you are right that the final dotting of the ‘i’s and crossing of the ‘t’s is virtually there and that the licence to expand is imminent.

I think you are right but just to point out I'm not the one saying the a dividend is the thing that will make the company. If it happens it will however other things will need to happen first. Griffin have recently had to revisit some aspects of the licence application which has now been sorted. One of the issues regarding the go ahead is to do with making sure that there has not been any back hand deals done which in fairness to the company has frustrated them. But time will tell.Zoo

ZooI think to be fair GFM have in several reports alluded to the fact that they recognise that a dividend is something that will come, however they are playing a game of hide and seek when it comes to delivering. It's plain for all to see Rose likes the idea of a dividend as do I. You however prefer the 10 uplift to trade so why not leave it at that
