It's the same old story of people selling on the news that has steadily pushed the share price up.They sell as they don't want to wait until the next news and want to invest elsewhere. LTH will not be worried as what's in the ground and the amazing potential has not changed!!

The MRE is excellent. As already stated by Proton, TW et al, this is just the start. However, the stock market moves in mysterious sometimes predictable ways. IMO and fWIW the reaction to a MRE of less than 5 Moz falls into the latter category. Unless Scally hits big I don't really see the share price hitting new highs until the resource is updated and that won't happen for quite some time yet. Longer term holders will do very well I'm sure.

Greatland Gold announces 4.2mln oz maiden resource for Havieron prospect
Proactive - 10th December 2020

Greatland Gold PLC (LON:GGP) has revealed a maiden mineral resource for the Havieron deposit in Western Australia of 4.2mln ounces of gold equivalent.

The initial inferred resource estimate comprises 3.4mln oz of gold and is centred on the South East Crescent and adjacent Breccia and includes a portion of the Northern Breccia.

Greatland added that mineralisation remains open within four other target regions: South East Crescent and Breccia Zone, North West Crescent, Northern Breccia, and the Eastern Breccia....

....Gervaise Heddle, Greatland’s chief executive, praised Newcrest’s progress at the deposit.

“To have achieved this within two years of signing the Farm-in is a testament to the expertise of Newcrest and their commitment to fast track the potential development of Havieron.

"The Initial Resource of 4.2Moz gold equivalent provides us with a strong platform for future growth through exploration while providing a clear focus point for ongoing studies and potential mine development.

“Importantly, the Initial Resource estimate is centred on just the South East Crescent and adjacent Breccia, and a portion of the Northern Breccia, suggesting that there is significant potential to increase the Inferred Resource over time.”

Much to read and digest, but the MRE appears to be of the order touted by many. The big question remains, how many times greater will the total resource be than that in this initial defined area? Newcrest's recent agreements would suggest their confidence in a serious uplift.

Next Steps

-- 2021 Growth Drilling: Growth drilling programme in calendar year 2021 will focus on the extension and definition of the South Eastern Crescent and Breccia, North West Crescent, Northern Breccia and Eastern Breccia zones outside the current Inferred Resource.

-- Infill Drilling Programme: Infill drilling is underway on the top 350 vertical metres of the South Eastern Crescent within the existing resource outline with the aim to define Indicated resources to underpin the proposed Pre-Feasibility Study.

-- Early Works Commencement: New camp at Havieron, with accommodation for up to 230 people, is nearly complete, and construction of box cut and decline is expected to commence late 2020 or early 2021, subject to receipt of required approvals.

-- Pre-Feasibility Study: A Pre-Feasibility Study for Havieron, based on an Indicated Mineral Resource Estimate, is expected is to be delivered by late 2021.

-- Potential Commercial Production: Continuing to investigate potential to achieve commercial production within two to three years from commencement of decline.

Yep, how many times I said that this is huge , very complex ore-body and wait for initial resources.
I`m in no doubt that will grow to over 10 million AU equivalent.
We stand at 4 million ounces AUEQ today.

Just look at the old Newcrest`s report for Cadia, bellow.
First MRE was 4.7 million ounces.
Today stands at 37 million ounces.
Not saying that will be the case for HAV, but they are drilling with 9 rigs , soon to be 12.
Resource will grow in time.

The MRE is much as I expected and knew would disappoint some people, as I've said for months, and clearly where GH was coming from when he reiterated several times that it will only be INITIAL.

And clearly it is INITIAL, restricted purely to the South East Crescent and Breccia Zones, and only a portion of the Northern Breccia Zones. These alone are still BOTH OPEN at DEPTH, and to the north-west in the case of the Northern Breccia Zones.

The MRE doesn't even touch on the North West Crescent and Eastern Breccia Zones, all OPEN and at DEPTH.

We're still only just scratching the surface!

How the markets react? Who know's, and as a LTH I frankly don't care. This is just the start, with a whole load more to come!
