Yes, this is another thing we should hold the board to account for in the next meeting … there is absolutely no benefit to them not being up-front about when projects start to generate income … currently, there is far too much smoke and mirrors.🤷205;♂️🫣

New factsheet out and hurrah Ferrymuir is now fully operational and has been generating revenue in June.

Enderby is not and seems to me to be about month to 6 weeks delayed, but will be energised shortly.

I'll take that. Ferrymuir was the one that was nagging away at me in terms of construction risk.

LOL - "Tempted to buy more GSF shares tomorrow as the garden lights point to massive upside gains with limited downside risk"
Might not be a bad method for someone who invests in the colour of a French steak's footwear!

That is extremely helpful letting us know your investment thesis based on your garden solar lights

The solar powered lights in my garden stay on all night at the moment. But in December, when they might be of some practical use, some of them barely last for an hour.

Regardless of the decreasing cost of solar cells or the number of solar farms built, they're quite useless in winter without sufficient storage capacity to last until morning.

That is the whole point of BES, electricity prices can go negative on sunny days, they store the low cost energy and sell it back at higher prices as prices do not stay negative over 24 hours

Solar might be getting cheaper, but you still need to store (batteries) the energy. Ideal day time low prices to charge and discharge when the sun don't shine and the wind doesn't blow

https://www.afr.com/policy/energy-and-climate/how-solar-beat-every-forecast-to-win-the-renewables-race-20240625-p5joooNot sure this is good for GSF. Cost of solar has gotten a lot cheaper than anyone ever anticipated. It now costs a lot less to build a new solar farm than a couple of years ago and it will get cheaper. This could lead to asset write offs in companies such as GSF. During the day, electricity prices have been closed to zero as more solar comes on stream. It is very good news for the planet and for users . Just not so good news for companies involved in trying to make money by generation .

Either side can be bigoted.

Theres a big difference between bigotry and ignorance expressed in a vitriolic way and someone who just has a different view that you strongly disagree with.

The latter can be reasoned with and learnt from, the former aren’t worth any attention and this place is littered with those.

Thats very pompous yumpy. Is bigoted a trait only possessed by the right would you think? Isnt filtering views with which you disagree being bigoted? Isnt that what happens in countries where dissenting views are censored? Putin and Xi have some great filters. Equating a persons political views with their ability in stock picking or playing football or anything else is imo the height of bigotry. Have you listened to the acceptance speeches of Nigel Farage and Jess Phillips. Thats bigotry

Nice thing about elections is you can see which posters are so bigoted that their views about any shared can be ignored.

At least 5 on filter this morning from various threads.

Further to my post yesterday #1627 the selling at 65p looks done to me. So, we'll see what happens next. Hopefully we'll soon be back to 70p which is where we were a month ago.

Interesting to see an article today where Gresham House are reporting that their longer duration batteries are helping build their income. I wonder if this needs to be the case for Gore Street and if so what the investment requirements are?🤔
