18/10/2024 07:50 | Big Rock has a capacity of 400MWh. That means that it can supply 100MW for 4 hours as stated in the RNS. Nothing oblique about that. Maximum supply power of Big Rock is 200MW. At the maximum it can supply for 2 hours. | fishbournetrader
18/10/2024 07:26 | Mirandaj, they don't have many fixed priced contracts currently. | waterloo01
18/10/2024 07:23 | neeja - dont even say it ! Looks like a reaction to me Robert. A bit of life in the corpse. Theres hope yet then. Mid 2025 yes but potential is the thing | scruff1
18/10/2024 07:23 | They aren't 4 hour batteries. They are two hour batteries. The GSF RNS is as always fairly oblique. | cc2014
18/10/2024 07:21 | waterloo01 What figure does this equate to in your opinion? "Alex O'Cinneide, CEO of Gore Street Capital, the investment manager to the Company, commented: "This RA contract marks the next exciting step for the Company as a new revenue stream is secured for the portfolio. Securing this contract is a significant milestone for the Company's cash flow. Based on contracts now in place, the Company's contracted cash flows will increase fourfold compared to FY24." | mirandaj
18/10/2024 07:12 | Added ... this is a very good deal imho | robertspc1
18/10/2024 07:08 | "Note energisation in December but the contract doesn’t start until mid-2925" Yikes. That IS a long time to wait Cocopah :-)) | cwa1
18/10/2024 07:06 | Seems like a great deal but no reaction suggests it needs explanation | robertspc1
18/10/2024 06:56 | Finally GSF have succumbed to a fixed price contract like Gresham House did … and on face value it looks like a better deal. Note energisation in December but the contract doesn’t start until mid-2925. Can’t tell whether we ordered the 4hr batteries at the outset but let’s hope so. The market will open soon and we should see what everyone makes of it over the next few days. 🤷a | cocopah
18/10/2024 06:55 | Thats probably the most positive RNS I can remember for a long time. | scruff1
18/10/2024 06:13 | That's much more interesting. $14m a year from one asset in Big Rock. Bash away boys...... | waterloo01
17/10/2024 17:55 | I lost my patience this week and sold my GSF shares. The risk of my investment withering away was too real. I feared the share price would bounce back after I sold, but it has continued to fall. | kensington gore
17/10/2024 17:20 | Once connected to the grid, it should in principle be a very simple and profitable business, just loading and unloading according to demand and price. A real bonus when prices go negative or very low on high wind days. UK prices are also stabilizing. Once all built out, they will have minimal debt, and with all online, should produce more than enough profit to cover the divi. Power price fluctuations aside, and that can work in our favour, it comes down to the cost of the manager. Ultimately their reward, post build out, should be the performance over and above the divi cover. In their control as they could reduce fees, but they will need to be shamed into it. | waterloo01
17/10/2024 16:38 | One thing for sure Coco the silence over the last 12 months or more has been deafening and during that time I cant remember ANY really good news. I agree with you - if they had anything good to say we would have heard it. The dividend cut has really had to be dragged out of them and then we have to sit and wait like begging dogs. Its all been a sorry tale. I cant remember the last time GSF went upwards by anything other than a micron and then it was back down in spades. They certainly wont be top of anyone list of competent managers. Its been pretty awful. The chart looks like the wings have fallen off a plane | scruff1
17/10/2024 15:03 | Glad to see that both on here and on the LSE board there is more clamour from investors for clarity on income. GSF know what the income is and not giving monthly updates gives the market no confidence, hence the continuous drip down in the share price IMHO. I can only assume from the silence that the news on income in the December update will not be good! Don’t forget that in addition to servicing the dividend, GSF will also have to service borrowing from 2025 and of course the continuing skimming from Gore Street Capital. 🫣🙄 | cocopah
15/10/2024 07:49 | I would bet the farm on Big Rock being late. If its not it will be a first. Only ray of hope is its not in the UK where HS2 is the standard. | scruff1
15/10/2024 06:55 | September now up and informative. | mirandaj
14/10/2024 11:56 | Quite a bit of stress on the grid this evening: Energy price peaks at £200 per Mwh between 6-7pm, and was under 80 for most of the very early morning. Its rather early in the autumn/winter to see such prices | llef
14/10/2024 09:58 | Similar apparent risk profile to LIO, both now yielding silly dividends, both of which I hold. No-one really knows if either will cut when the time comes, but the market is betting they will. After a while, the higher dividend, rather than being an attraction becomes a red light because few believe something is simply too good to be true. So much value out there - or not? You pays yer money. But anyone remember buying a house in 1996? ;) | brucie5
14/10/2024 09:42 | I wish the board would show confidence in the NAV with some director dealings | probablynotphil
11/10/2024 18:41 | One thing for comfort. Who ever is now selling they are doing so at a loss. But the fact that they are still doing so is not really a vote of confidence in a future turnaround especially with supposedly our saviour galloping over the US horizon. Big Rock more likely to be Little Big Horn. Funny thing is though that volume is about the same as it has always been (admittedly never great)but I would have thought it would have diminished | scruff1
10/10/2024 13:40 | Your article shows; interconnector tripped at 13:09 and grid frequency restored to operational range by 13:15. "Battery exports reached a maximum of 1,226 MW for a full minute." "Batteries in Dynamic Moderation Low and Dynamic Regulation Low continued exporting at full power for 5 minutes. " and; "Dinorwig, the UK's largest pumped storage energy station, was called on in the Balancing Mechanism to export 650 MW of power within two minutes." It looks to me as though battery response was far superior. | fordtin |
