Shareholder,KB2 is just a paid ramper, along with his pal Mark "Homer" Simpson.Ask yourself this, why would accountants/investors be investing in a tin pot South African gold recovery company, and have allegedly been invested here for 10 years or so?.........they never mention their average price or holding.......because they don't hold, just paid to ramp.DDPS Doubt you will hear anything about Kili now until the new year.

Kimboy - I agree with you re "it just needs something to go right" the question is what as it all seems to be going wrong at the same time. My question is why? My answer is GKG factor.

I don't think he is obsessed with Kili. It was losing money and something had to be done. It just looks as though the investment in the new plant hasn't got it profitable yet and production will need to be expanded.

The fact is that GDP is valued at £5.8m at present and South Africa made a post tax profit of £2.7m last year, and that is before they do anything about the 82kozs TSF.

GDP is a retail stock and it just needs something to go right to change sentiment.

Clearly Kili has been a disaster and it is only due to the fact it has been subsidised by the profitable parts of the company that it is kept going. However we are where we are.

The point is that Kili needs to be cf+. How difficult that is to attain remains to be seen. However I was only pointing out that with deprecistion of a newly built plant of £0.5m it may not be impossible.

My view is that if they just walked away from it the effect on the share price would be beneficial as a drain of £1m pa was removed. If they can get anything for it then all well and good.

Kimboy2 - Why are you always so positive. Kili is a disaster. The pit is like Quatermass and the share price stinks.

Thanks DDCan't believe I am here again but have to say GKG has done a great job in keeping major shareholders happy. He must be under pressure though as I am sure they will run out of patience soonAll will be forgiven if he pulls a rabbit out of the hat and I can only guess that the delay is to do with the deal he and Theresa May are negotiating Have to laugh my losses are greater than capital now in GDP but have other suff Hope you are well and love all your posts Don't be put off by the not so arms length rampersCome on GKG let's see what you have negotiated

Hi shareholder.Hope for your sake the update on Kili doesn't drag on and on, but with GKG I wouldn't hold your breath......just double checked to see if they mentioned what year they would update!, it was Nov this year!.My guess is that GKG has requested the board give him more time to play with his mine. Who knows with this company, they prefer to keep shareholders and the market guessing.Good luck

Whatever happens they have to stop Kili being a drain on funds from profitable parts of the company.

Given that depreciation for Kili is £0.5m and the increase in the gold price it may not be insurmountable to get to cf+

I expect we will hear in the next week or so though.

Well it would not surprise me - but its not going to profitable.

No wonder the share price is where it is.

The KeS price of gold has certainly improved by about 5% which is worth about about £200k pa.

I think that they are still fully producing at kili and haven't entered C&M yet. It might be interesting to see what the recent numbers are given that a number of the workforce are sat under the guillotine.

Yes but where would you place your bet.

1. They should tell us - it will be seen as good news imho
2. They set a target and are now letting the negotiations run on - will it be the same next week, next month, next year - when will it all end. there is always a reason for one more day.
3. Would be RNS'able as it would be material to the results why not announce it.

By the way my money is on 2.

Maybe GKG has resigned and Theresa May is taking over. They both struggle with saying what's going on and doing good deals.

The decision on Kili is material to GDP's financial results.
It would be prudent to update the market as the deadline has now passed.
Silence just gives "supply" to rampers or connected persons.

There are three alternatives, either;

1. C&M has happened and mining has stopped
2. Mining is continuing as discussions with a partner are finalised
3. The performance of the mine has improved sufficiently to justify continuing production
