29/11/2018 16:40 | a lot of that equipment will have been purchased through the group and sold to kili at arms length. it is unlikely that it will be returned. - the CIL plant came from GRG and shown on the balance sheet as transferred to kili, however, it won't be returned, ever. | ![]() sea7
29/11/2018 15:40 | I agree sea7. The capital has to be returned. But if a large part of that capital is just equipment that was moved to kili because it wasn't being utilised elsewhere, and it will now be returned, then I'm not sure the numbers tell us a great deal. | ![]() wigwammer
29/11/2018 15:25 | They will be borrowing from group for capex requirements and this will be in that balance - it is owed nonetheless and as kili is a standalone entity, it will be required to pay this back. | ![]() sea7

29/11/2018 09:31 | Sea7 - thanks for your thoughts, but isn't a large part of this the capital equipment being moved from one part of the business to another? "Loans and borrowings by kili when GKG took over were £2.1m, that has more than doubled now, with the capex and work done in the last three years." | ![]() wigwammer

24/11/2018 18:16 | shove the mine on care and maintenance - reduce the costs to the c and m costs only. Carry on running the plant, processing existing ore pile and artisanal tailings, - use profit to cover the c and m costs at the mine and we should be about break even. Meaning, losses just about gone and the pressure on the group removed. That will create some breathing space, until the longer term solution is decided. | ![]() sea7

21/11/2018 07:41 | mf thanks Loans and borrowings by kili when GKG took over were £2.1m, that has more than doubled now, with the capex and work done in the last three years. payables/goods and services were £750k - so kili owed about £2.85m back then. | ![]() sea7 |
