07/4/2017 08:51 | PS Do you also think that the German refineries are not going to take advantage of this situation, I know I would!.......short and curly's springs to mind.DD | discodave4
07/4/2017 08:49 | No offence S7 but what response did you expect!.80% just isn't going to be switched just like that, naive to think it will. This will cost GDP, the loan was not for addressing this issue, that was GKG's pocket money to spend on his exploration whim. You know how much drilling and getting to JORC costs!.DD | discodave4
07/4/2017 08:33 | MF, Obvious answer there at this time!!! The working relationship with german refiners is new and fresh. The culture in Germany is also significantly different to that in Gauteng and the germans will turn the product around swiftly and efficiently. That is what they are like. | sea7
07/4/2017 08:30 | Well ask the obvious question who would you trust RR or German refiners? I think I know the answer. Maybe in the longrun this will all be for the best. | michaelfenton
07/4/2017 08:29 | I guess the use of refiners that are not in the neighbourhood does have the benefit of a more distant relationship. Neighbours are notorious for being in each others faces sooner or later. | sea7
07/4/2017 08:27 | DD, I emailed Gerard and that was the response I got. It was what I expected to hear. You do not take someone to court and still expect, open, transparent and friendly business at the same time. They do still have contracts, however, who they get the material refined or processed with is not likely to be part of those contracts. The CEO at rand is publicly claiming breach of contract and failure to perform, whereas Gerard says otherwise, so we will need to wait to see who is being honest with the truth and who is being somewhat economical with it. | sea7
07/4/2017 08:15 | I see not using RR as a substantial reduction of risk. Virtually all problems have been Rand Refinery related. | kimboy2
07/4/2017 08:09 | Thats right Kb, however, there was no reason for rand not to be happy, so I am not being complacent. On the other hand I suspect that the german refiners will be quite happy with the uplift in workload from Goldplat. Last year 80% of product went to rand, so that 80% is now going to Germany instead. As long as the pipeline times do not extend too much, with an 80% uplift in material going into it, goldplat should not experience any cashflow issues on a short term basis. I expect they will have costed this out and they do have a loan facility to fall back on at this time. | sea7
07/4/2017 08:05 | No reason for the German refiners to be anything but happy. They are getting sent a load of gold to process and getting paid for it. | kimboy2
07/4/2017 07:58 | Certainly is. The furore surrounding rand will die off, as the days and weeks pass as long as goldplat keep the two german refiners happy. This should see a decent floor under the shareprice, a decent uplift in profit and a good start to the newly profitable kilimapesa mine. | sea7
07/4/2017 07:54 | The rand price of gold is up 10% this month. Even the Kenyan price of gold is up 10% this year. Given that Kili should be producing 6,800oz pa from this month it is a decent addition to the bottom line. | kimboy2
07/4/2017 07:38 | Gold rising off the back of air strikes in Syria. | sea7
06/4/2017 20:42 | DiscoDave4 - 08 Jan 2017 - 10:49 - 3354 of 4023 - 0Here's one for you KB2:The dispute with RR is down to GDP breaching their contract with RR, or a third party. Hope it's not but it's a possibility - NOBODY KNOWS!, but I'm not dismissing it because I'm receptive to any possibility unless there is proof to the contrary.DD========= | discodave4
06/4/2017 17:59 | millers post, This Rand issue could have been quietly settled the guys at rand are a decent bunch, I know some of them well having been a shareholder for many years. ......... You were a shareholder at rand refinery eh miller, ha ha ha yeh right of course you were liar. | sea7
06/4/2017 17:57 | Which is why miller is so keen to engage lawyers to hold contract notes to prove his holdings over mine in goldplat, whilst paying those same lawyers fees.. you use the word "fool" in post 11993 miller, which aptly describes you to a tee. | sea7
06/4/2017 17:55 | you still copy and pasted the article from my post though miller didn't you, including the exact way I put the extracts. Nothing like flattery, thanks | sea7
06/4/2017 17:51 | Clearly with all these so called experts GDP has recently taken on board they should never have walked face on into litigation. At the end of the day litigation is there for fool who only wish to enrich lawyers | danielmiller1
06/4/2017 17:45 | Stupid one ignored. This is much better stuff than listen to an old worn out dreg seek attention. This Rand issue could have been quietly settled the guys at rand are a decent bunch, I know some of them well having been a shareholder for many years. Green as I previously mentioned has not got a track record to boast about. And for those following my comments. If indeed anyone does. But they are here for the record. I have note that Green has gradually demonstrated his ignorant self opionionate bombastic personality. His head has even grown through his hair. A more competent CEO would have sought out a solution and taken it.I know there was a reasonable solution on the table. However Green full of his own pomposity and self importance must think he is too big to give an inch .....but seems to forget that it's his shareholders that will foot the bill. Now would also be the ideal time to get rid of the Visausage. Clearly Rand has a good case..... In a statement to Mining Weekly Online, Rand Refinery CEO Praveen Baijnath said the company is “satisfied that it has incurred a demonstrable loss resulting from Goldplat’s breach of contract and failure to perform”. and Baijnath stated that Rand Refinery proposed a compromised settlement “of an amount far less than [the company’s] losses as a result of Goldplat’s performance failure”. and “We are in the process of evaluating all of our options in this regard and this will likely involve litigation by Rand Refinery against Goldplat for the actual losses incurred by us as a result of their breach of contract and failure to perform,” Baijnath concluded. | danielmiller1
06/4/2017 17:27 | A little after hours buying again. | sea7
06/4/2017 17:26 | Glad to see you are posting messages towards me miller. It is nice to see you doing what I want you to do. | sea7
06/4/2017 17:25 | sorry but I ignore STUPID PEOPLE WHO NEVER LEARN. S7 will get the message sooner or later., probably later as he is a bit sLow pity for him. | danielmiller1
06/4/2017 17:24 | He would have been drinking to blot out millers, boring drivel, whilst trying to look interested. I see miller cannot resist making posts towards me, he is so weak he cannot resist. | sea7
06/4/2017 17:23 | Only weak livered bums need the dependency of booze. Such a pity the majority of humans are dependant on some kind of stimulants. | danielmiller1 |
