13/1/2009 18:47 | I reckon that profits will still be good but a lot of the money made will be on the new sites that they have taken over. I know my local centre has had a really good year. I dont believe there will be any suprises from a company that has always delivered. | shazzybabes1
12/1/2009 18:21 | what are we expecting on LFL-2% my guess | sebass
21/12/2008 14:05 | The last two posts sound encouraging, the next trading statemnt will make for interesting reading. | malc999
19/12/2008 14:13 | I know my local centre has had a super year as someone who works there has said to me. and it is always hard to get a pitch on some nights and they have 14 . | shazzybabes1
19/12/2008 07:54 | all I know is that the centre I play at I struggle to get a pitch! Last week the only time we could get was 10pm! | cupasoup2006
19/12/2008 04:27 | Trust me when i tell you bookings are not being fulfilled. People on reserve lists are getting called asked if they would like to play at a discount. They are going to struggle over the next 3 years. They will scale back growth but in saying that long term this is a sure fire bet. I am a huge admirer of Goals and can see this going into other avenues using its brand but at the moment its a no no. | andrewjames
18/12/2008 05:29 | Not so sure I agree with the above post. I've no doubt that there will be some small effect on the business due to the current economic downturn, but think about this - times are hard now but do we all suddenly decide that we dont like football, do we decide we dont want that game we have every week with our mates that costs us 5-6 quid a week? I dont think so. So other investors, how are bookings holding up at your local Goals Soccer centre? | malc999
10/12/2008 19:59 | BT pension just dumped 1.3 million shares | vaind
09/12/2008 10:26 | End of year and all stocks hammered but imho i think these will be pushing well past 2 pounds once end of year is released dyor. | shazzybabes1
05/12/2008 09:18 | anybody any ideas to why the recent drop? | rajbeers

24/9/2008 18:23 | Remember PWR results are for the year to 30 June 08, most recent Goals were for half year to 30 June 08, so maybe not that much "new" news in that respect. Goals said that trade since 30 June remained strong. Be interesting if PWR say anything different. | free willy 2
24/9/2008 14:51 | Over the long term I think this is a great company to invest in. There is clearly been signs of a potential slowdown but I just dont see it having too large an impact on the core of the business. Powerleague's results next week will be interesting as their centres are in less affluent areas, they are smaller and are generally not as good quality. If there is a slowdown other than from bar revenues and off-peak times powerleague would be a good indication of whats ahead | sebass
24/9/2008 12:17 | Good lift today. noticed Evolution Securities put out a BUY recommendation with target of 350p. | cupasoup2006
02/9/2008 10:49 | Comment today in The Indie, Times, and Telegraph (not FT), all say 'BUY' at this level. | lobby ludd
01/9/2008 22:28 | i cant think of many companies delivering results as good as this! | cupasoup2006
01/9/2008 17:02 | The results were not bad, they were just not very good. With sales up only 18% and LFL at 4% (against a tough comparative of 10% last year) they might have trouble hitting full year forecasts. Shame they do not separate the LFL figure between pitch income and bar sales. On the positive side they are going to have six centres open this year and will also start building 2 centres this year which means that they should be able to open 6 centres in 09 | sebass
01/9/2008 16:12 | SP down 7%.........the results were excellent then ! | lobby ludd
31/8/2008 12:11 | 5% LFL would in real terms mean turnover flat, or even (given 5%+ inflation) down. Let's hope for more. | lobby ludd
31/8/2008 12:01 | Results out tomorow. Hopefully around 5% LFL (bar sales will be down) and reassurance that they are on track to open 6 centres for the year. Interesting to hear about how the expansion abroad is going. | sebass
24/7/2008 08:58 | Looks like another site due to open in Northampton according to their website. That makes 3 more sites opening this year! | digitalinvestor
21/7/2008 14:59 | short sellers have been squeezed | simonhollingsworth
17/7/2008 16:03 | Sorry thats what i meant but 2 new sites all the same. | shazzybabes1
17/7/2008 15:10 | Just had a look, no mention of any new opening in Manchester ? - think you mean Tolworth, in Kingston. | lobby ludd |
