There should be a City day traders bounce off the £8:00 mark but I can not see it being more than a few percent. Then likely further down over next few days and weeks. This company has self harmed in a bad way. I held Microfocus and had a day like this back earlier this year. Maybe NEX could take over but M and M would block it. CFO not only head that should roll.GLA there are better companies out there. Have a look at ENET 35p future looks very bright after this weeks cash raise, or AGL 1.27 hopefully to get approval from FDA in next few weeks. BURF 8.05 a much undervalued very successful world leading litigation funding company. Just thoughts because I too have had days like this and it hurts. GLA

What a spectacular fall from grace, for what was once a great company. Reputation now in tatters. Great shame.

Thought my timing was not too bad with the 1k GOG shares last week...... wrong again! Fortunately it is not a costly exercise for me, sold out @921p this morning for a tiny loss.

The fine is the main question. How much will GOG pay... 25m + what...

@Chester, yes with DfT. but then again, that relationship was bound to go south given the amount of negative reviews all their train services were getting. I cant think of one train operator which has continued a train service after their contract has expired, especially ones that are as big as Southern & GTR.

There is a reason why SGC & NEX removed operating trains from their portfolio. Its a dud business. Share price has factored that in hence why we were neck and neck with SGC. but then the fine, thats what hasnt been factored in.

It's not the £25m it's the lost partnership trust between GOG and Government Transport. A good mutually beneficial deal will now be checked, checked and double checked. If in doubt try someone new. I am out again until i get an understanding of how much the damage to reputation will be. GLA

RNS is a bit of a disaster. Sorry we have not been very honest but we are paying it back. We have got rid of the 1 man that was at fault. Now all will be fine. This is BOD incompetence and the share price will hurt. GLA

Think the rise may be somewhat attributable to the petrol concern we are currently facing.

Dipped my toe in after the NEX/SGC merger news on Tuesday as GOG should be the next takeover/merger target.

That bid from NEX has potentially saved GOG in the short-term. Market is realising SGC can never be 50m+ more in MC than GOG, the gap needs to be closed. Also national bus stats out tomorrow.

Try getting round Birmingham with the relevant bus app - you'll end up with a nervous breakdown after a couple of weeks. I did query some examples with NEX as it applied to their buses - but the reply was basically it is not their problem as the app isn't theirs.

Yes GOG 8.60 and NEX 2.20 last week. The trend had to turn. NEX management are a really good team and GOG at a third of original pre pandemic value? I have taken the optimistic view that COVID worst is over. That said footfall to big city centres is still tough. Birmingham, London, Manchester, Glasgow all down 30% on 2019. Never use last year it's nonsense on nonsense. Unlike many on This app I use buses to get around sometimes. With bus apps it's easy. Observationally the school kids are back in numbers but central London only slowly improving. I was always coming back at these prices but I may be too early we will see. GLA
