10/10/2014 10:15 | Take your point long term although it was more like 2p or 4% but I do like to be disciplined and not buy when the spread is too wide. I've already got a few although not quite as many as i'd like but I was more miffed that I happened to go out when the opportunity arose. It'll only take a 10K seller at current levels for the opportunity to re-occur and there's plenty of bed-wetters out there at the moment :-) | cockerhoop
10/10/2014 09:48 | If you like the company, I don't think 1p here or there will make much difference. | rcturner2
09/10/2014 16:47 | Well done RCT, I popped out to the shops and missed a chance to buy a few more at 48 :-(. | cockerhoop
09/10/2014 13:54 | lol I have 30k now at a cost of 20k, so I think I will stop there. | rcturner2
09/10/2014 13:43 | Keep buying RC, shareholders need your support! | bookbroker
09/10/2014 13:35 | I just picked up another 10k shares. | rcturner2
09/10/2014 13:27 | I understand that small caps under pressure, relatively low volumes here having a big impact on movements, under water now big time, the situation with contracts pretty fluid I guess, felt that this co. seeing a turn-up in fortunes a month ago, whether gap filling from August causing ripples, however disappointing nonetheless! | bookbroker
09/10/2014 11:31 | Not sure about that bookbroker. All small caps are going down even after positive news. Don't think oil prices have anything to do with the general negative sentiment in small caps. It hasn't stopped GTC winning contracts in any case. | stewy_18
09/10/2014 09:58 | Looks like we are going to need a positive update with the price under pressure in two weeks, euphoria after early Sept. contract dissipated, oil price pressures seem to be having negative effect here! | bookbroker
30/9/2014 11:51 | Agreed, very strange reaction to the recent contract news. | greenroom78
30/9/2014 10:17 | Falls irritating, hope it's not due to P. Stephens reducing his stake further, could be simply gap closing from the spike to 69p following last bit of good news, feel this should be higher irrespective of weak oil price, products should be in further demand as I would assume many exporation projects depend upon a higher future in terms of pricing, more accurate data required which this co. has to offer! | bookbroker
18/9/2014 08:05 | Quite a few companies could say that at this moment bookbroker, GTC, SEA and THAL to name a few. I would hope GTC could grow a fair bit before it got taken out. I think there is quite a bit left in the tank here. If they could some how smooth out the revenue stream (as Globe was supposed to do), I think it could be a star in any portfolio. If you can handle the gut wrenching drops. I sold out and I'm watching closely from the sidelines. Another contract win like the last one will probably tip the balance for me. 17/9/2014 16:26 | Personally I can't see why this would not make a nice bolt-on for another oil services co. at this price! | bookbroker
17/9/2014 13:54 | Is this what is called a gap fill from before the last announcement? | bookbroker
15/9/2014 16:32 | What date are the results due out? | rovers2
08/9/2014 22:12 | Big7ime ... the sell side equity analyst at WH Ireland | staverly
08/9/2014 18:44 | Staverly, I agree with your post first two paras, but don't understand your third, could you explain, who is lone scribbler? Thanks | big7ime
08/9/2014 14:33 | Anyone who knows the BOD would realise their prudent and understated style (GTC are at Stock Market Show this weekend so you could judge for yourself) tends not to excite the share price like some I could mention. From a balance sheet valuation perspective it offers a decent margin of safety at 20m M/cap. Cash and a valuable piece of real estate underpin a substantial amount of the share price Earnings are still unpredictable but given this year looks in the bag ( I doubt today's contract was transacted on generous terms to their client) with ten months of the year to go and exploration majors starting to relax their purse strings again things appear favourably poised. The cautious 70p TP from lone scribbler is likely to be driven by his colleagues understandable desire to accumulate stock at sensible levels. | staverly
08/9/2014 11:11 | Today's RNS seems to confirm the outlook given in the pre-close trading update, and makes last half year look like a short term hiccup - good news. Regards. | muckshifter
08/9/2014 11:01 | lol, that's made my day! | rcturner2
08/9/2014 10:56 | Above comment, are you nuts, £3.5mln cash on the balance sheet at the last count! | bookbroker
08/9/2014 10:53 | Do they have enough working capital? | mctmct
08/9/2014 10:22 | Well done to everyone who stayed invested here. Patience has been rewarded. I still have my doubts on the reoccuring revenue potential for Globe but with contract wins like this, it doesn't really matter. I noted earlier that the size of the contracts kept increasing but this takes it to a new level. "This new contract is an illustration of our future ambitions." It could be exciting from here on in.
