Indeed. I added 15k this afternoon. Another company who have announced they are ahead yet the price falls.

If GTC make £2m PBT for the FY, which is roughly twice their H1 PBT, I struggled to see how how the EPS will be only 5.2p... 6.5p would seem nearer the mark.

WH Ireland have upped the current FY and next FY forecasts for GTC from

PBT 1.7m, EPS 4.3p, Dividend 1.4p, PBT 1.8m, EPS 4.7p, Dividend 1.5p

to

PBT 2.05m, EPS 5.23p, Dividend 1.4p, PBT 2.25m, EPS 5.75p, Dividend 1.5p

A nice RNS and good market reaction. Its always tempting these days to bank some quick profit and I'm sure some will, but currently a medium -long term hold for me , GTC have rewarded my patience so far and hopefully more to come. GLA

Yes, if GTC stays above 70p I would have been better off not selling but I feel happier about being more diversified.

GTC continue to impress. Happy to hold here.

Shanklin, ITV have been doing well so that wasn't a bad call. These will probably go up a similar amount to the gain you've made on ITV anyway, and at least you're more diversified now.

Well that's a pleasant way to start the day although I was so overweight here I switched about 30% of my holding here into ITV a couple of weeks ago.

Trading update

GETECH, the oil services business specialising in the provision of exploration data and geological exploration studies, announces a trading update in respect of its year ended 31 July 2013.

On the basis of the strong performance of all parts of the business Getech anticipates that its result for the full year to 31 July 2013 will exceed current market expectations, both in relation to revenue and profits.

Getech's Chief Executive, Raymond Wolfson, commented, "The combination of strong data sales and commitments to Globe has continued to underpin the performance of the Company. Our comprehensive Earth Systems Models, which build on the core of the Globe product, are attracting increasing interest and we are very pleased that demand for our proprietary services continues to strengthen."

OK, so s t o c k o p e d i a figures show that forecast revenues for this year (before this contract win) were £7.25 million. With this contract win that makes £7.83 million. That exceeds their forecasts for 2014. That, by their reckoning, takes eps for 2013 to 4.66 pence (based on £7.75 revenues)

Strip out the £5.5 million cash and you get a relatively undemanding m/cap of around £12 million and a P/E ratio of 8.7.

This will do nicely. Still undervalued IMO for a company growing at this rate. It will be interesting to see the margins in the year end results.

I am also hoping to hear anything about the sustainability of their business model after the Globe program finishes. If anyone has any view or comments about this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please DYOR. Anyone reading my EPS predictions on the TRCS thread will know I have been wrong before.

That contract was surely in the price already given the bullishness of the update a few months back? Assumption by the board was that business would come in this half.

3 weeks without a post because there is nothing much to say. I'm guessing every holder would love to see an RNS about a new contract win but it is not the case yet. Failing that, we will have have to wait for the results in July where a bit more will be revealed. Does anybody know what date we can expect the year end results?

Be nice if this co. could announce a deal or two of late, little move in a down market, hope springs eternal once again, or even a little earnings enhancing acquisition with all that cash they have accumulated on their balance sheet!

Interesting situation here, could go either way, no news contains uncertainty, what we know is that they have already stated that earnings underpinned until mid-2014, however be nice to hear if any new contracts in the pipeline, cash balances very strong currently which should provide some cushion, be a bit of a shame if they have to reverse their statement concerning rising profits made in early part of year, still there are still two months of financial year to come so here's hoping that they will at least match forecasts!
