The number of patient investors is declining daily - which in one way is good for those that are patient ....

I’ve a considerable amount so not rushing into buying more on every 0.35p it moves lower. There’s a lot of value to be had here for the patient investor.

On the way to testing lows again by the looks. Time to buy more BB2 in that case!!

Why don’t you do us all a favour and move along to an investment that’s not utter tosh. Must be something out there you like.

Heading back to 12p. So much for the trading update arresting the rot.

Sadly Hastings I have to work half the time, but I knew there would be little substance in what was said, they would have enlightened the market first!

One positive is that GTC has very few followers, so if they announce something tangible for the H2 area, the share price could jump to a more sensible level as it did on the initial announcement.

Its clear they are not blowing money all over the place.

Unfortunately, the rest of it seemed like a theoretical plan, so I guess we’ll just have to wait.

Perhaps they’ll specify what the decarbonisation solution is, that is being offered to clients. If its actually a saleable service then presumably it will be put on the website.

The potential investment in an asset also sounded vague. Presumably they have some criteria.

There is surely some proper news coming this year. I noticed Copus mentioned the demolition (sorry I am not going to call it deconstruction) as being an important step, so I currently have an ice pack on my forehead after facepalming myself too hard ;-)

PS
I should say that I left a very large business in the 80’s partly because of all the vague management speak that made it look as if stuff was happening when it wasn’t. So in a small company I absolutely cannot stand any of that - its completely out of place.

GTC appears to have ambition, but I can’t figure out what form its taking in practice.

Couldn't agree more. An exciting year ahead with the prospect of good news flow in multiple parts of the business. With over 4 million in cash and the completion of the sale of Kitson house bringing in at least a further 2.5 million, much of the share price is cash giving very little value to anything else.

Would have thought you'd have attended and at least attempted to ask some questions. Or better than that, email the CEO and have a direct chat. The update last week was very positive and was greeted as much by posters here, the shares responding well too, but I note you didn't bother commenting!I don't understand why you're bothering to hold if the other aspects of the business which aren't going away are not your cup of tea.

Does appear that the seminar, or whatever anyone chooses to call it, did little to enthuse listeners. More jaw-boning, and little clear evidence as how to create value for investors. I am keeping a wee investment here on the basis the market seems to overreact to any good news from any company. Clear that the overall market slightly tired, and investors grabbing on to any news. But Copus should have stuck to providing software services, by the look of his language recently the Globe side trundling along, and the H2 side just an empty hole. H2Green just an endless brick road!

Had a watch. Minimise costs, maximise value. Oddly enough that's what I do with my business and so do my client businesses.

Taking selective investment opportunities at low cost. But we ain't going to get something for nothing are we, so this is reliant on GTC identifying the investment opportunities well. Are they qualified to do that ? - jury out until they actually do an investment and tell us what it is I guess.

The decarbonisation solutions area sounds much more tangible as a revenue earner, plus the hydrogen advisory service. So who has the hydrogen expertise ? Is it Luke Johnson ?

What does a decarbonisation solution actually involve ? Presumably that's a fat report in the way that PWC do reports, charged at an extortionate rate. (Except that GTC actually have the expertise and experience, not just some consultant a few years out of Uni).

Which would be nice.

Stockopanda, just register for the presentation. Once it's started you'll see how easy it is to type questions to be answered directly after the presentation.

I'm keeping this simple and to the point given how underwater this stock is right now for me. I need to understand if this is a Dead cat bounce or not after the recent announcement.

Does anyone know how I can ask via the site how given Getech's current position as a microcap company, what is the strategy behind the company's efforts to participate in the energy transition on multiple fronts? At what point can investors expect to see a more focused approach in the company's operations and growth?

I can’t post any advance questions on Investor meet yet and have to be out until later.

If anyone can ask, I think we should know what the payment criteria are for H2Green, going forwards. As I said, I did see them somewhere but didn’t copy and can’t find now.

Obviously I would also like to know exactly what we got for the initial £250K, but I think the answer might tend towards waffle. I certanly hope it was more than a company name and a domain name.

What's the thinking ... was the uptick post trading update a sign of a turnaround, or a dead cat bounce? Only one trade yesterday, so I'm thinking it hinges on how believable Copus is in today's Investor Meet's presentation.

Malcolm Graham-Wood (energy sector commentator) comments briefly on the trading statement:

Extract:

"I’ve followed Getech for longer than most and it’s all beginning to look rather tasty, almost as envisaged all those years ago. This set up a more than decent set of figures where the move towards geothermal, hydrogen and carbon storage appears to be paying off.

The order book is up from £3.3m to £4.6m which bodes well and as Dr Copus says the pipeline will fuel the company’s growth."

probably true, yump, but I'd like to hear some confidence that they can be in profit in 3-4 years - else that "no current plans to raise capital from shareholders" won't last long!

Yes some sort of projection would be good, even if very general, but you won’t get an answer to that - the business has changed substantially and it will be a wait.

What would help is an idea of what sort of low cost/carry investment GTC might be looking at, in return for them developing sites. They’ve mentioned it. Whether they have a % in mind is probably not for public digestion though.

I’m ok with the change though - it wasn’t going to do much for my portfolio in its original form.

I'm going to be pretty simple in my ask Friday: 4 years straight losses, and 3 more before hydrogen can generate revenue... when will GTC make a profit, or is this a "never-never" business??
