14/9/2017 07:44 | Taq Taq flow seems to be stabilising which is good news, if they can rejuvenate the field somehow and increase flow would be great news. | panagos
14/9/2017 07:07 | Payment RNS out so let's see what happens today with oil at $55. | kulvinder
13/9/2017 22:08 | pewawnration to pareto......debt / equity issuance in the works it seems | panagos
13/9/2017 21:18 | Interesting article. Thanks to a LSE poster for this link; Brent $55.18 Very good | cyan
13/9/2017 19:56 | Oil above 55.. bodes well for tomorrow if it holds this level | losses
13/9/2017 17:50 | Fair enough Anyhow it has been a nice period of consolidation now .. time to get news of this months payments and maybe move on a little more ? :) | ihavenoclue
13/9/2017 12:36 | We will have to agree to disagree ihavenoclue. I am not going to obsess over this issue. Getting tedious now. Have you something else to add to the thread? Perhaps some research, some numbers , some useful links perhaps? Brent $54.70 | cyan
13/9/2017 12:32 | Load up..Genel Energy will announce a trading and operations update on Thursday 19 October 2017. | mysticmonkey
13/9/2017 12:24 | Dinga... Exactly my point. Cyan keeps on saying it over and over like the more he says it then it might be true when it is obvious to anyone with eyes that the oil price is having little or no bearing on the share price and the share price is certainly NOT tracking in line with PoO. | ihavenoclue
13/9/2017 09:54 | POO is one factor of many. I have found over the years a tendency for the share price to move with POO when there is nothing else going on. It is a factor because we pump oil. If POO lost $10 that would equate to $125 Million off the gross oil (before expenses) revenues for GENL . If you think POO has nothing to do with the share price I disagree. One hopes we see $64 POO of course. I think the referendum prospects might have an influence in the weeks to come. Brent $54.57 | cyan
13/9/2017 09:34 | aye okay what if the price of oil was $30 - what price genl then? poo is steady enough at circa $54 last few days genl has been to about 162-152 in the same time frame - its easily swung either way by small volume on the buy or sell side. got to look at many factors and not just the POO | d1nga
13/9/2017 09:12 | Dinga... What does that have to do with it? It's a simple fact the share price is NOT following the PoO. | ihavenoclue
13/9/2017 08:52 | clueless is a basher on payroll, better served double-filtered. imo | panagos
13/9/2017 08:51 | IHNC there's 17000 shares been traded , its down a tad - consolidation taking place before the next batch of news , relax ffs | d1nga
13/9/2017 08:45 | Brent still over $54 and GENL share price down. Time to stop flogging that dead horse, cyan. | ihavenoclue
12/9/2017 11:45 | Share price moving with POO's rise it seems. Brent over $54 | cyan
12/9/2017 11:16 | Hi panagos. More rapid because I believe a political doubt would have been removed the their calculations; they would be faced with an ongoing status quo. If a 'yes' vote then there are potential uncertainties. It seems TEC and others are not overly vexed so , maybe I am over blowing the risk; but there are risks imo Brent $53.72 | cyan
12/9/2017 11:05 | "If there was a 'no' vote then I would expect rapid progress on developing Miran." why? | panagos
12/9/2017 10:02 | Really interesting times with the Kurdistan independence referendum set for 25th September and the issue of who will end up with Kirkuk . The Kurds hold it but its an area of dispute regarding any new borders. One must wonder how TEC and other big oil factor the politics into investment decisions.? The large Turkish interest in GENL and the strategic value of the gas to them gives some hope that they see a negotiated resolution possible. Kurdish independence aspiration is not an out of the blue question. The Kurdish president has stated that if there is a 'yes' vote he would then talk with Baghdad . One has to wonder if big oil and TEC will sign off on the development before more clarity on the regional politics? If there was a 'no' vote then I would expect rapid progress on developing Miran. Safest to 'bet' on a 'yes' vote. What then ? The politics remain the main risks with GENL. Brent $53.68 | cyan
11/9/2017 16:30 | I agree it would be but when poo rose above $54 GENL share price went the other way from 165p Just be glad to see the gas news now !! | ihavenoclue
11/9/2017 16:24 | The POO chart and the share price I have found do have a tendaancy to mirror each other when nothing else is in play. Think about it; GENL is pumping huge quantities of Oil. A dollar price move is over $1 million USD Gross extra per MONTH. It is natural for GENL to be influenced by POO. | cyan
11/9/2017 16:20 | I feel it is more due to nerves about payment as it is due | ihavenoclue
11/9/2017 16:17 | Look at POO now and how the share price has moved up. Open your eyes. When there is nothing much else happening POO moves this share price Brent $53.71 | cyan
11/9/2017 16:09 | cyan ... poo rose to over $54 but GENL fell ... I am not sure where you get this link from ? | ihavenoclue |
