03/9/2017 18:04 | The problem with Ukog is that its already heavy invested in. And probably ahead of itself. There's no doubting it's potential but it's next move could really hurt holders. Good flow rates and you may see a 20% gain in the share price ! Any slight problem or delay and the fall will be devastating. Beware of busy boards is advice that's often well heeded | 7rademark
03/9/2017 13:54 | Agree that GENL's risk is political. With a relatively low share price/market cap when set against the asset base and one the cheapest production costs in the world, we are sitting pretty IMO after the settlement of the historical's. This share has very serious upside potential from here in respect to the development of our gas assets. I know Somaliland has been mentioned , but, I have frankly completely ignored the huge POTENTIAL there as its so far in the future and just a big maybe. Its the Oil and gas we are, and are likely to develop, that should lift our share price to between 200 and 300 next year, with POO as it is. There is a chance of a bid , of course, which may move our share price rather faster. I look at UKOG ; market cap £244.62 Million and HUR with a market cap of £553.48 million and then ours at £439.17 million and I find myself shaking my head in disbelief. We have large producing assets in our hands and other giant assets which , upon development, will be hugely cash generative; £400 million plus STERLING per annum income from the gas assets alone. UKOG and HUR are years away from production and there remain serious questions as to what can and will be recovered. Enormous capital is required and, yes, HUR raised half a billion; BUT, that has to be spent to start production and service their bonds. One can argue that HUR has HUGE potential/predicted upside, but, so has GENL from a much more secure financial base. If you have a problem with a producer in GENL's acreage ; its relative peanuts to sort out. If HUR has depletion issues or bore issues , the costs are very much higher. Very cheap on-shore compared to expensive off-shore. The major oil companies have very deep pockets and when even they refuse to farmin into HUR's 'billions of barrels' , you can be sure there's some doubts. In the years we wait to see IF both UKOG and HUR can actually make money we will have coined in with hundreds of millions in revenues. Rant over lol Brent will start the week at $52.81 | cyan
03/9/2017 12:56 | This is a summary of the previous conflict in Korea , which was vicious and bloody war and is still unresolved today. China is also in a tricky position as it has consistently supported N Korea, but the Chinese must be getting little worried at how fast things seem to be moving. My last post on this. On Genl I bought back into Genl at around 150 ( got some more at 148 on Friday) , i have been a holder at various prices from 10 pounds down!! I think the recent agreement on back payments have significantly de-risked this, of course there is still significant political risk but at £1.50 i think its worth the risk. | hernando2
03/9/2017 11:59 | Catch 22... | nicebut
03/9/2017 10:58 | the earthquake that was recorded was probably made up by the seismic agencies as well and that missile that went over Japan would be fake news as well. talking and sanctions have made no difference to this regime, so either you leave it alone and hope he doesn't actually send armed missiles ( nuclear or not) or you do something. I remember just a few years ago they were saying N Korea would never get a missile to fly ( they did), Then if they could get one to fly it would be impossible to guide it, ( perhaps) Even if they get to fly and be guided they would never be able to arm it.. Even if they can arm it they will never be able to do a nuclear warhead Even if they get a nuclear warhead they will never be able to detonate it.. Not easy to deal with especially as China are saying you try anything before he actually strikes you with a missile , then we will intervene on their behalf using force. Its a tricky time and I am old enough to remember the cold war and all that went along with it.. | hernando2
03/9/2017 10:49 | Kim will possibly send oil and gold price to the sky, I just hope there will not be any newclear war or something totally insane. | panagos
03/9/2017 00:56 | So DPRK has nuclear weapons. The photos look dubious to me. Kim Jong un is stood in what appears to be a DR Who studio next to what looks like a pressure cooker with a mk 2 ford escorts distributor cap hanging out of it!He would be stood closer but for the fact his belly is so full of the food he deprives his people of. Next to him an advisor makes notes on a WHSmiths lined note pad and blue 1980's Parker pen obtained before any serious sanctions took place. And that's tonight's main headlines. Something tells me it's a set up and pre emptive air strikes will be taking place shortly. | 7rademark

01/9/2017 15:53 | Last half trading hour of the day starting NOW smells to be exciting...... ;) | panagos
01/9/2017 15:31 | Just one of the things I really like about GENL is just how cheap it is to drill. THREE drills on Tawke were completed for just $11 million USD. Compare that with HUR; had to raise half a billion and its two years to production. Look how , in a flash, we drilled Pesh; struck oil, and the started commercially exploiting it! I think Pesh alone is going to be an excellent earner. Brent $52.74 | cyan
01/9/2017 15:30 | I hope all those huge sells of the last couple of days where shorts opening....that will provide a "rocket" effect in case of short squeeze / covering. | panagos
