Just checked the GKP BB and smiled at this post;

"This is an easy 20 bagger."

Reminded me of the KOZEL days and the 'call the Chinese embassy' posts lol

I would settle on a modest 5 bag here lol.

Petrofac has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract, valued at approximately 340 million euros, with South Stream Transport B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of GAZPROM, for the development of onshore pipelines and a gas receiving terminal near Kıyıkö;y in Turkey.

Through its EPCm business, Petrofac has been undertaking early works since April, which includes FEED verification, detailed design and procurement for the project which is associated with the offshore section of the TurkStream Gas Pipeline.

Under the contract, Petrofac will provide engineering, procurement and construction for the receiving terminal, which will be ready for commercial operations in December 2019. When completed, the facility will receive 31.5 billion cubic metres of gas annually from the TurkStream pipeline originating from the compressor station in Anapa, Russia.

Commenting on the award, Roberto Bertocco, Managing Director, EPCm for Petrofac Engineering and Production Services said: "We're delighted to be working with South Stream Transport to help open up a vital gas export channel to Turkey and Southeast Europe.

If share was going to fall it would by now. It's nicely consolidating for the next move towards 2 quid.

"Is Big Oil Prepared For The Natural Gas Era?"

A story that highlights how the majors Shell and BP are moving into gas big time.

I know that there are those who still doubt whether our gas assets will be developed. How-ever, I am heartened by the multiple parties in negotiations; its not like there is only one potential interested party.
The more who want a piece of the action the better. Helps with GENL getting the best terms.

We will know pretty soon IF we are set for lift off.

The most disgraceful one by far is SER; an absolute abomination now being 'run' by BMD. Words fail me.

UKOG just joins the long list of `muppet` shares badly run by complete charlatans and ramped by the same (I`m sure you guys can think of a few others over the years- Polly Peck?):

BPRG
MONI
GKP
HUR
UKOG

They are ramped by those in the boiler rooms and they pounce on anyone who has anything negative to say (which usually turns out to be correct).. IE its Mostly a con, IMO.

Ukog s BB is unusual. There are those with a counter argument who make a reasonable case and they are shot down as trolls. Meanwhile the longs hug each other with good mornings and night nights and treat the stock as a certainty. You can sense a general lack of understanding and inexperience among many there. I really wish them all the best and hope they make money but why fully commit yourself to one stock when there are undervalued oilers producing already with huge proven assets. I've said this before. Any non positive news at Ukog and it's bye bye to 50% of your money. Those on the sidelines can watch and jump onboard with good news after the initial profit taking.

"Bad news hadn't even entered my mind."

This line from a UKOG poster just highlights the lack of objective consideration of risks.

That's a truly shocking BB. Mindless

I don't underestimate GKP Mark at all, but with my limited funds I'd rather back this one, although Shaikan is huge.

Fact is that GENL is not a single asset company makes me more comfortable holding it.

I wouldn't underestimate GKP.

Yes it has a poor history but then so have we, every dog has a value and GKP is not valued correctly in my opinion.

Looks like Genel is consolidating so patience needed.

I suppose its a matter on how serious you take the February 2018 threat. In one way GENEL's position has strengthened; the KRG settlement gives greater income and clearer books all round.

Yes, Pesh looks very good and am hopeful that will turn out to be very sizeable

Brent $52.88 . Good

Good afternoon cyan,

My greedy side is a bit upset I haven't switched little GENL for GKP but having followed GKP since 2009 I should know by now which will the winning stock between the two.

Gas: I am not so optimistic as you as the clock is ticking against us. As the time goes by GENL negotiating position weakens so I would prefer a news on gas by end of Autumn the latest.

Lastly let's not forget that we should be approaching TD at Pesh.3 in the following weeks.

Good afternoon panagos.
The clock is ticking . About 16 weeks maximum before gas news.

I think its going to be a little bit like the KRG settlement news; very sudden; pleasantly surprising and likely difficult to buy into fast enough to exploit the best of the leg up to over 200p.

Well , that's my sunny view. All the mood music appears to suggest there are plenty interested in the gas development. I think its not about shall we develop; its about agreeing the terms. fingers crossed.

Brent better at $52.79

Comment published on June 6 2017;

Extract published under short extract copyright exemption for the purposes of critical review. Another example of excellent prose by the ft

"Mr Özgül said TEC, the Turkish state-owned energy group, remained the “preferredR21; partner for Miran but that talks were also under way with multiple other interested parties, which could join a consortium, including “big international companies”. Genel aimed to tie up a deal by the end of this year, he added."

Could a complete deal be formulated before Xmas.? I hope!
