08/9/2016 13:56 | Oh dear, if you had any money, and had not lost your shirt in GKP, never mind. Brent $48.60 | cyan
08/9/2016 13:54 | Sparky, pantheon down over 4%, Ophir down, Tullow oil down, Enquest down...you need a better monitor. | dodge meister
08/9/2016 13:46 | The infatuation with SOU on here is hilarious. SOU is where it is (and poised to go much higher for a number of reasons). GENL is where it is (and poised to go much lower for a number of reasons). I know where I would want my money right now. | ohdearohdearohdear
08/9/2016 13:43 | Genel and SXX the only red on monitor. | sparky333
08/9/2016 13:32 | Once ISIS is destroyed, the excessive burden of military expenditure should diminish and hopefully improve the KRG's finances . Am holding my nerve. Brent $48.58 | cyan
08/9/2016 13:22 | The problem is 2 months of no payments.A business cannot operate in this way and stunned no announcement. | sparky333
08/9/2016 13:08 | Its a funny old world. SOU market valuation £426m .... GENL £282m Brent $48.53 | cyan
08/9/2016 11:46 | I do not think anyone doubts the future POO price and stock prices will reflect this, Genel is unique in the they are owed probably now 1/2 billion dollars and not getting paid.To many broken promises by the KRG years of talk on oil law and we are still no further forward.Until this is resolved (if ever) Genel will trade lower and lower as the cash pile diminishes and the bond repayments get closer. So we would not benefit in a stronger POO price. This is the enigma of Genel and Kurdistan oilers. After all this time something has to give as the MNR have already screwed over GKP. | sparky333
08/9/2016 11:29 | Lack of investment now will lead to a future crunch, fracking won't fill the void. | coxsmn
08/9/2016 09:46 | Agreed and that's what will keep the balance at around $70 to $80 for many years. Can't see $100 for many years to come unless we have a war. | sparky333
08/9/2016 09:44 | Sparky do you not think the frackers will ramp up production if the price of oil rises? We have to get through those guys to get to the promised land. Glass half empty day today. | pogue
08/9/2016 09:28 | A supply crunch is coming, as to when is unknown but last night a 12m barrel drawdown was forecast. If the EIA report illustrates a draw down of that magnitude and it is followed up with further large draw downs $50 will be smashed.Because with over 2 years of under investment a supply drought is certain the question is when and how severe. Could be another 12 months could be another 2 years but it is on its way as field performances decline at an exponential rate. The shrewd will start to build positions way in advance of this situation. Why to think the US have been stock piling crude ????? | sparky333
08/9/2016 09:18 | Good morning pogue. Am just sharing opinions in the public domain which are read by thousands unlike our musings. We must consider the good with the bad; heavens forbid I am accused of ramping again , lol. Do not necessarily agree with all that's written but, personally , I have previously offered my amateur opinion that I expected POO to be around $50 for about another year. I believe in GENL's long term value; 12 months is not too long to wait is it? I do not regularly commentate on my trading, but, i bought a load more yesterday . Brent $48.79 | cyan
08/9/2016 09:10 | these guys did not predict the price fall so why do you think they will predict the price rise? | pogue
08/9/2016 09:04 | A glass half empty article. Will OPEC act? "Biggest Oil Traders See Another Year of Pain as Glut Endures" some extracts; "All but one of 15 senior oil traders and executives interviewed this week at the annual Asia-Pacific Petroleum Conference in Singapore expect crude to remain between $40 and $60 a barrel over the next 12 months. Brent crude has traded in that range for the past five months." "Freezing output would have a limited impact on prices with the biggest producers pumping at close to record levels. Higher prices over the coming months would require production cuts to change supply and demand balances." “In general, we believe we are getting closer to balance,” Eiong Tan, head of crude trading in Asia at BP Plc, said in an interview. “Consumption is catching up with supply.” ==================== On the brighter side Brent has moved higher now standing at $48.72 | cyan
08/9/2016 08:15 | Article in today's Telegraph, supply crunch as early as next year, soaring prices within 2yrs with growing dependence from the Middle East.As I said before, now is a good time to buy genl.Dyor. | coxsmn
07/9/2016 21:48 | I expect there's some good inventory news to be shared. Brent $48.52 | cyan
07/9/2016 21:44 | must be news due soon | gemlotte55
07/9/2016 21:41 | Huge jump in Brent this evening; Now $48.47. Not unhelpful for our share price in the morning, one hopes. | cyan
07/9/2016 16:01 | "An OPEC Production Freeze Could See Oil Prices Rise To $60" Would be nice but I doubt that will happen. Brent $47.05 | cyan
07/9/2016 16:00 | Ramping not working Cyan? 99.5p :-) | ohdearohdearohdear
07/9/2016 15:23 | If you weren't bothered; why respond ?. Go back to writing on Shareprophets. One of the gang of pumper dumpers who got it wrong. 19th August; Another 'oh dear' prediction. "But POO WILL drop into the 30's. Genel WILL test the 70's again. Within two weeks" You were completely wrong then. How is the SOU pump and dump going? Brent $47.24 | cyan
07/9/2016 14:49 | Cyan - why do you think I would be bothered if an anonymous poster believes another anonymous poster on an anonymous bb? Genel is an obvious sell. 75p is my two week target. | ohdearohdearohdear
07/9/2016 14:16 | Malcy on POO Brent now $47.35 | cyan |
