Also why has Genel and DNO not made a statement as this is material if payments are not forthcoming.

Brent $46.82 now. Looks like there is little confidence in any OPEC agreement coming.

This all I found so far leading to good progress and paving the way for the IMF loan to Iraq to have 17% (about $1bn) passed onto KRG.

Kurdistan has lost more than $55 million so far in August, due to three days of export pipeline outages and a drop in production after attacks on the Bai Hassan oil field. The Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) oil export pipeline has been down for more than 80 hours this month because of technical problems in Turkey, three oil officials briefed on oil exports said.Production has also dropped after a July 31 attack on the Bai Hassan South facility knocked out around 70,000 barrels

KRG and Iraq agree in principle to coordinate attacks on ISIS and an approach to oil

But overall good news coming..

Yes, seems to have happened.. Just need DNO and Genl to confirm how much they got .. In the next day or so..

Any word on Iraqi 17% approved on 23aug for KRG?

$60,346,909 paid out during August to main contractors by KRG according to latest update

I can only find RNS's for receipt of £30m (part payment for Tawke) and $15m to GKP for Shaikan during August.
Both these payments were for June production.

Payments from KRG and notifications by the companies to the market are now becoming so disjointed it's very difficult to follow....
perhaps that's the idea??

Last technical view for a while as its now a waiting game, good news is that we attacked the 106 area again and looks like the old stomping ground of 102-106 remains but the charts indicate a big move is coming soon (hope it is up) and the indicators, trading patterns, higher lows, bottom triangle, trend channels etc all "hint" that it should be up...but as you know this is the wild west where anything can happen, but I'm loaded up with 35,0000 of these and now to do the most difficult part.....the waiting! (high risk, but risk/reward offer appealing to me)

Bullish Ascending Triangle (normally good at bottom of chart)

Not sure Malcy's view should carry too much weight. He does get more things wrong than right - the latest being PANR of course.

Why Kirkuk deal is good?

bullocks - forget the IMF loan - very little likelihood that Kurdistan will benefit from that. The kirkuk deal is good though.

That may be one of the reason why KRI is not paying on time. KRI hopes that All their debts to IOC will be paid from the IMF loan which is being organised.

Always good to see a technical update, but I personally invest on fundamentals. Looking for the stocks that can 5-bag over 6 months, and this is one with the best chances as I see it.

Quick "technical update"....for now its steady as she goes, but a tad boring!....I've added more just a tad below big number 100p and will add again if we see 95-98p where I feel there is HUGE support.....many shares find good support at BIG number 100 down to 98 and dont see us any lower than that...hoping we can punch back to 102-106 range but the trendline continues to do its job and support will give bounce. I had hoped we could have taken out 106, but a bit of patience and that will be taken out and a run up to around 120 next stop (a close below 95 and I'm wrong)

med term view still very much my belief and 140 the key area to take out and then backtest support before we make "the real big move"....I'm not bothered about a few pennies movement as I'm looking for the bigger breakout in due course and a quick re-rate

free stock charts from uk.advfn.com

Personally I think crude will find support around the 43 mark and think we will get some payment news, but not expecting the touted big backpayment, but happy to be proven wrong....if this did come happy days. Slowly news appears to be painting a better future, but for now uncertainty is holding this back around 30% i reckon and my own view is that we should be nearer the £1.80 mark. So if your prepared to take a 10-15% risk, then the rewards could be 100-150% if you can be patient, ride the storm and buy on dips to support line.

View the other week, showed support had risen from 85 to 100 mark and for now that appears to be finding buyers on any "quick dip"

Best of luck, my view is keep buying whilst "on sale" and keep adding upto 140 in the months ahead and simply hold for the bigger payday.....for now numbers I feel are pivotal as follows:-
140 news required to break this level
120 first target area
105 first resistance area, will break soon then we head to 120
100 support area...buy area 98p with strong support at 95
91p...close below this and I'm wrong and will take 6-10% hit on 96p/100p tranches

Brent has slipped these last few days and now is $45.79. Despite this, GENL share price has remained pretty stable. Our share price used to religiously follow POO.

Seems there are some looking at the bigger picture perhaps and hoping that $400m and some M & A may liven things up soon,..I hope.
