An extract;

" .....Why are Genel investors any different to GKP investors?"

Because they have more sense and have invested in a company with a future and not a POS like some did.

Got any more predictions, oh dear?

Amazing !. A new poster turns up commenting on the best time to buy GENL after this incredible GKP post;

Oilman.

I have registered on this site to ask you a question. I am a long term holder of many years and an average of well in excess of 100p.

For the first time I am very concerned about my investment. Could I please ask for your current view of the situation?

Thank-you.

"For the first time I am very concerned about my investment".

You are in GKP that deep and it took you until March to get concerned!

You don't believe everything a poster writes on here do you Cyan :-)

I don't believe a word of what you write - I have noticed you around various bb's.

But POO WILL drop into the 30's. Genel WILL test the 70's again. Within two weeks.

================================================================================
I certainly do not believe any of your posts, oh dear.

Brent $47.59.

The more the Saudis cut spending at home the more disgruntled the locals will feel these are citizens who expect a life of idleness and payment to keep them docile this may change the equation. Civil unrest in Saudi could lead a revolt, plenty of groups out in that area happy to assist in that which off course leads to higher oil prices. Always look for the good news story lol.

"Saudi Cost Cutting Drive: $20 Billion of Projects May Be Axed"

The low POO is really hurting the Saudi's, yet, I think its highly unlikely OPEC will agree a production freeze.

Brent is better today at $47.75 now

It's a problem of biting the hand that feeds you. I suppose DNO were able to do it also believe there should be a shareholder revolt.

If there was a problem with lack of payments going forward , the company is under obligation to announce via rns , otherwise they are liable to claims against them in the event of shareholders loosing money , those are the rules and therefore it appears all is fine .

What's interesting about the IMF loans is that the loans are paid in tranches and, from what I can tell, receiving the next tranche is contingent on IOCs being paid.

I think the IMF loan news hasn't really hit the GENL investors' radar yet - or IIs simply don't believe it - or some IIs are working the price down in order to get good positions prior to the actual repayment news.

Sounds a bit unlikely, but I suspect there's slightly more good news coming than peeps are expecting.

Thanks. I am not sure if IMF loan applies to Kurdistan . I guess we can ask the company. Any body knows, if applies to Kurdistan. On the paper says Irag IOC, so it should apply to Kurdistan.

@karateboy - have you not looked at the IMF website?

DNO very relaxed about payment situation - they are investing heavily at Taq Taq and are trying to buy GKP so they are confident of payment regime holding up.

Also, all back payments now nearly made to GKP so more money in the pot for others.

Once IMF loan comes in, GENL will be paid all outstanding monies in any event.

Last Taq Taq payment RNS was for $24.91m on 27th July for June production??

Think it was the only payment made by KRG during July to the main producers.

Interesting trying to figure out where the August $60m has gone. GKP $15m, Tawke $30m...where else?

The KRG will grind Genel into the dirt and then steal the assets - just as they are doing at GKP.

Why is anybody still holding Genel shares after seeing what has happened over on GKP? Serious question.

Oil freeze.They oil ministers are so stupid if they agreed. 5% cut in production the oil price would shoot upto $60 Do the maths u idiots, how do they get into positions of power when so stupid ?Kurdistan needs a radical overall and I am now if the view all oil and payment should go through Iraq because they is just no accountability in Kurdistan.

It's not Ashti's fault the producers are not getting paid. He needs the cash to pay his militia for when the lynch mobs come after him and his wife. Shahristani had more integrity.
