11/7/2023 12:53 | Thanks for flagging. Seems to be a significant support point from 2016 after massive fall. Who are largest insti holders? | brucie5
11/7/2023 12:24 | SCSW added GBG to their growth portfolio this month @228p hoping for a recovery/bid. Gone are the days when updates in scsw caused uplifts in the prices! scsw.co.uk | aishah
04/7/2023 10:47 | Paul Hill keen on GBG.. from 15.30 | shrout
16/6/2023 16:02 | times suggests 5 parties were interested in bidding last year at the time the private equity bid was made known, how do they come across such info? but a downturn in a few large American Fintech company orders made for uncertainty so no one proceeded. But they may be back, given the evolving nature of fraud in an age of AI, the need for localisation and identification services, so in their opinion, 'buy' | 1c3479z
16/6/2023 10:17 | I would think a strong hold since they rejected a bid at double this price last year. They are earning enhancing for any of their competitors at these levels. | gopher
16/6/2023 07:02 | The Times has recommended a buy for GB Group.I don't have access to the article. | hotfinance14
15/6/2023 16:22 | It's clear that the team overpaid but that's in the share price, todays results formalise the error. This is a company that regularly exceeded market expectations and after listening toe results presentation I got the impression that analysts have their doubts around whether that will be the case going forward. Some softer comparators will be coming up though. | gopher
15/6/2023 16:06 | Surely there will be an acquirer at this level. This management team have lost all credibility. | nigeldoug1
15/6/2023 16:05 | Operating (loss)/profit(2) (GBP112.4)m GBP23.4m (Loss)/profit before tax (GBP118.8)m GBP21.7m Should be down by 30% | deanmatlazin
15/6/2023 13:59 | I put my little toe back in and am out now. Sold out when they announced the Acuant deal, thought the price they were willing to pay was eye wateringly expensive. | lomax99
15/6/2023 13:07 | Was an easy out for me, maybe a bid Will come along but firmly on the sidelines for now. Don't play that "what if" game anymore | doobz
15/6/2023 11:27 | Absolutely spot on little fish wanting to swim in the big pond.... And awarding themselves more shares | wolansm
15/6/2023 11:16 | Acuant looked like an awfully expensive purchase at the time, now the board admit they overpaid by £120M +. Had a deal been struck at a fair price we would be debt free and operating acceptably given the backdrop circumstances. Whoever agreed the deal has to go, it was so expensive based on optimistic assumptions at the peak of the market with no recourse if things did not excel. Several of us here had that reaction at the time, but it feels like the exec were seduced by the excitement of operating in the US market. This is a catastrophe. | marktime1231
15/6/2023 09:57 | Think there was a recent insider purchase at 3.33 - perhaps a renewed bid could surface but todays announcement has a bit of cleansing about it and yes reality would see it as more pos than neg - imho | seanyboy
15/6/2023 09:48 | Big vol today, market lively atm. | bulltradept
15/6/2023 09:44 | What intrigues me is the CFO only purchased 10,000 shares in April at £3.05 and he would of known the huge impairment charge would be hitting the accounts. | hotfinance14
15/6/2023 09:24 | Massive loss. This should be 30% drop. surprised that it only drop by 10%! | deanmatlazin
15/6/2023 08:49 | I see it as positive apart from the Acuant aquisition which has been a disaster. I have sent email to the CFO stating this. | hotfinance14
15/6/2023 08:42 | There seemed to a lot of excuses in the results, hard to see that there is going to be any upwards momentum in the near future. Guess it is dig in and wait time. Or get out at a loss. | wad collector
15/6/2023 07:33 | Yet still on a PE of 36 with no growth. | muscletrade
15/6/2023 07:33 | Other than the Acuant charge, looks very much steady as she goes and the increase in divi is welcome. Just looks very neutral for the time being, but expect the market may well drop it further now sadly | doobz
15/6/2023 07:27 | Yes the market won't lijke this part : Reflecting the macro challenges in the last year, the annual impairment review resulted in a non-cash exceptional goodwill impairment charge of £122.2 million against our Identity business in the Americas, which is formed of our IDology and Acuant acquisitions Correct me if i am wrong but this is basically saying they well over paid for the Acuant aquisition. | hotfinance14 |
