Also nice to see the interview on Fantini where they are expecting 25% (ie what they have in NJ) of sports revenues in Pennsylvania to be going through the GAN platform.

Nice to see a £12.5k buy this morning at 55.4p, nicely above the published 55p offer price. Someone's keen.

Indiana looks to be next as it heads to the governor for signature plus Iowa and TN mobile only on its way. Legislative action hotting up.Based on the holdings updates (which are painting an interesting picture) there are now just 21.5m shares in the hands of retail investors. You can't quite describe that as free float of course but it's a very small number. It's also true that buyers are not exactly being encouraged by the current spread.Perhaps there might be something from DS in his interview later with Fantini.

Confirmation of the July launch in Pennsylvania, including a good mention of GAN:

Extract:

"PokerStars, partypoker Headline Approved Operators in Pennsylvania
April 22, 2019

Pennsylvania poker players got the good news Wednesday – the launch of legal, set for July 15.

Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board Executive Director Kevin O’Toole made the announcement at last week’s PGCB board meeting, and the options will be plenty when the Keystone State’s poker rooms go live this summer.

Seven casinos have been approved to operate online poker in Pennsylvania. Three of these casinos are partnering with big-name brands (WSOP/888, PokerStars and partypoker) that will expand their presence in the United States with the launch of their PA poker clients."

"GAN/KAMBI (PARX CASINO)

Parx Casino is the leading casino brand in Pennsylvania and also home to the state’s largest live poker room, with 48 tables and regularly occurring special events. How this will translate to the casino’s online poker offering remains to be seen.

Technology partners GAN and Kambi will provide the platform for Parx Casino’s online poker room. Both software companies are known for expertise in sports betting and other forms of online gambling, but neither has extensive experience producing online poker.

Parx is a huge brand in Pennsylvania, but lacks a prominent online poker partner like PokerStars or Partypoker."

Few large trades there. Interesting to see whilst the positions are being reported - including finally confirmation of the US private equity holders.Pennsylvania just confirmed start for online casino 15th July, with online sports betting coming before that, with some indications that it will be next month. This should give the price some fresh impetus.

Good to see Canada's Ontario province also now opening up to online gambling etc:

"Ontario government seeks to end online gambling monopoly
12 April 2019

Ontario’s Conservative government has revealed plans to end the current online gambling monopoly and also legalise single event sports betting in the Canadian province.

In the 2019 provincial budget, the government has said it intends to establish a competitive market for online legal gambling “that will reflect consumer choice while protecting consumers who play on these websites”.

The proposed market will include both casino-style gaming and sports betting, with the government set to consult with key stakeholders to set out how the new-look market will operate.

Ontario currently operates under a monopoly system, with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) the only approved operator to offer igaming via its PlayOGA.ca website.

In the budget, the government also sets out its desire to legalise single event sports wagering in Ontario, quoting a number of leading individuals in the North American professional sports market who have previously backed the motion. Currently only wagering on multiple events and parlay betting is permitted.

NHL ice hockey league commissioner, Gary Bettman, is among those that support such a move, saying that a level playing surface for wagering betting is in the best interest of the NHL’s own sports betting landscape.

“With two NHL franchises in Ontario and two right on the border with the US, Ontario is a very important market for the NHL,” Bettman said. “Accordingly, the NHL does not object to the Province of Ontario's initiative to offer single event wagering when it is permitted.”

NBA basketball commissioner, Adam Silver, has also given his backing to legal single event sports betting in Ontario, saying that such regulation would help to protect fans and the integrity of games.

Silver added: “Should the Federal Government permit betting on single sporting events, the NBA would support the Province of Ontario offering this form of betting, subject to appropriate safeguards. The NBA has agreements with multiple licensed international gaming companies that incorporate these safeguards and can help provide a roadmap for Ontario.”

Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber and Canadian Football League commissioner Randy Ambrosie have also voiced support support for Ontario's plans.

Davy are very positive:

"Strong March provides further evidence of NJ sports and online casino opportunity
Apr 15 2019

DAVY VIEW

New Jersey (NJ) gambling activity continues to beat all expectations, with March representing another record month for sports betting. Interestingly, FanDuel (Paddy Power Betfair) appears to now be assuming an undisputed leadership position in the market. We also note that online casino revenues are significantly higher (+53% year-on-year (yoy)), providing a reminder of the broader US online gambling and cross-sell opportunity. This is something that we suspect could propel US revenues even higher than currently expected. It is early days, but the ongoing roll-out of the NJ market is exciting for European gaming operators."

Sports is going great but it seems the key take away emerging is the cross-sell between that and casino. Draft Kings are highlighting it very clearly since their deal with Resorts.Fanduel share a GAN wallet with their Betfair Casino counterpart and there are links from one to the other, but it would be a surprise if they aren't planning to rebrand the Betfair Casino as Fanduel Casino, particularly as they will be doing that in Penn soon and WV in due course.

Well spotted Noujay - strong numbers confirmed today for March, up 53% year on year. The Internet Sports Wagering Gross Revenues almost doubled from February....

More strong numbers from NJ out with not just sports betting (where Fanduel are killing it) but more interestingly showing massive growth in online casino revenues - with Betfair Casino (via Golden Nugget) leading the charge. Might not be too long before it gets rebranded as FanDuel casino a la Draft Kings.Either way, taking aside Ocean, which really hasn't performed as yet, GAN are certainly with the right partner and this is presumably the main reason for the growth of the cash balances.Waiting for Pennsylvania to come online is painful but once that's plugged in they should be generating a lot of additional cash quickly via Parx and Valley Forge.

Forms 8.3 and 8.5 are disclosure forms required by the Takeover Panel to clarify material interests in the share register of a UK-listed company that is in a bid situation. Any person or institution that has an interest of more than 1% of the share capital of a company in a bid situation (on both sides of the transaction) must disclose any dealings in those shares and their resultant position.
Form 8.3 should be completed by the shareholder to clarify what they have bought or sold and the resultant size of their stake. Form 8.5, meanwhile, should be completed by any principal trader that has dealt in the shares.
These disclosure forms are required as part of the Takeover Code which aims to ensure an orderly framework within which takeovers can be conducted fairly and appropriately.
