Members in both houses plan to cast the final votes needed to send the bill to Gov. Janet Mills this week.

"New York mobile betting bill passes Senate
17 June 2019

Senator Joseph Addabbo’s bill to legalise mobile wagering in New York has taken a major step forward after it was passed by the state Senate.

However, S17 still faces a race against time if it is to progress through the House of Representatives before the state’s legislative session ends on June 19.

The bill, which had sat with the Senate Finance Committee for a number of weeks after passing the Racing, Gaming and Wagering Committee, was discharged then committed to the chamber’s Rules Committee.

After progressing through that committe, it went to a full Senate vote, passing with 57 votes in favour and five against.

“As the chairman of the Senate Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering, I am delighted that the State Senate has taken this important step towards legalizing sports betting via smart phones and other mobile devices,” Addabbo said following the bill’s passage. “Permitting this type of wagering holds great potential for creating jobs and raising significant revenues for education, while also credibly addressing the issue of compulsive gambling."

Just be aware that at the moment I cannot sell 10k at 70p, but only get an indicative price, yet I can buy 25k at 74.167p.

Looks like someone has put a sell order into the market.

It would appear that the next meaningful one for GAN could be Michigan and after that I think it may stop for breath, unless New York suddenly throws mobile into the bill in which case this is likely to rocket.With Parx, Valley Forge and WV coming through those will be the next operational drivers plus there will be some half year results to confirm what has become pretty clear now, that their financial profile is undergoing a fairly dramatic change to the good.

Dont want a bid.newsflow will get holders a healthy and consistent return as more states start hitting the bottom line.would like to see 1.50 a share in next 18 months if figures coming through stay roughly consistent from each state.

It certainly brings the bid level to the £1 that DS was reportedly seeking in March. Based on subsequent performance though and legislative momentum I think that's light compared to where this could be in six months time

Always been an attractive hold for me, any bidder will have to start rethinking the starting level. Going well, about to breakout, reminds me of (STX), another great play, hope to retire on that after 27 July, along with (MSYS), breaking out and (FUL) about to move out of trading range, some great buys about dyor as usual

Holds current price will be a good move up on the week.newsflow between state legislation and monthly figures will be very regular and hopefully keep adding a few pence each month to share price for next 2 years.

Ah, I see a seller of 13k at 70.06p. Is that enough to help the MMs and get the price moving again after the mark up at opening?

Very interesting to see both yesterday and so far today GAN has not been sold down on the news, i don’t recall this happening before so its a decent indicator that the upwards trend should continue IMO. Hello 70’s.
